The unit comprises 3 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed, and the other 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds in each room. There is also a bathroom with a bath, a shower and a washbasin, as well as a separate toilet.
Guests have access to a kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is fitted with a two plate stove and oven, gas bottle, fridge -freezer, microwave and kettle. The dining area contains a 6-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge contains couches and a flat-screen Smart TV and a sun room.
The property offers amazing views of of the flora and fauna, the lighthouse and not far from the jetty where people fish, and a delightful restaurant called Fryer's Cove where one can also do some wine tasting. There is also a great seafood restaurant called Seespens, a bottle store and pub, a fisheries shop, a general store and petrol station nearby.
You will notice the Diamond the boats bobbing about while waiting for the right sea days to come, so that they can go diving, children swimming in the harbour and fishermen launching their boats to go and get the daily catch, weather permitting of course. There are several good hiking trails that go right through to Strandfontein, mountain biking tracks and even great road cycling in the area.

Very nice stay!
The house is very well equipped with a beautiful view, especially at sunset! Very hospitable reception with all the necessary information. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.
Perfect location - one can walk to the restaurants. Wonderful view of the bay and sunsets. The host was perfect.
Very comfortable, average house, nothing special but suitable for us. Netflix and YouTube made a difference. Stove not in good working order - tripped when using 2 plates.
Nice stay. Nice sea view. House is well equipped e.o. with cereals, Weetbix, coffee plunger, milk etc.

Fantastic location. Theresa was very helpful and friendly. The house was very neat and clean, with everything you need. I would only recommend that you don't bring pets - the yard is not fenced.

Experience the most beautiful sunset over the sea. The full moon over the sea a bonus. Walking trail right in front of the house with all the spring flowers was beautiful. Doringbaai one of the jewels of the West Coast. Will definitely want to stay there again.
Theresa went above and beyond what could be expected. We needed to be towed and she organised everything for us. I can't thank her enough for everything she did. The home was everything and more than we expected. We will definitely go back.
Neatly furnished house and met all our needs. From the living room we have a nice view of the sea. Walking distance from restaurant. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend the place.
Our hostess, Theresa, was attentive but unobtrusive and the accommodation clean and comfortable. The house is fully equipped with everything required for a holiday and has a gas bottle stove for when there is loadshedding. Smart TV with Netflix, Showmax, DSTV etc. The house is one house away from the Doring SAPS so we felt very safe (think Doringbaai is usually a low crime area in any event). The Fryer's Cove winery and Jetty restaurant are within walking distance of the house and there are a few other reasonably priced pubs/restaurants even closer. We really enjoyed having a braai on the stoep while watching the sun set over the sea. This accommodation is very reasonably priced considering what is on offer.

The caretaker is constantly at the premises. Dont know what she wanted. On the date to leave she arrived before 10 am and started with inspections looking for faults. While people were getting dressed inside the premises she just continued to walk inside the premises and do an inspection.
Needs some attention and finishing.
Our three day stay in Homestay with our dogs was wonderfully relaxing. Very good location. Neat, practically furnished house with all the basic equipment. Wi-fi is reliable. Hostess is friendly and helpful. Restaurants all within walking distance.
It was just simply wonderful and would definitely go again.
The sunset was beautiful. Close proximity to the beach and as for self-catering it has most things you need. We enjoyed our time and drove out to explore the vicinity. Close to Strandfontein, Vredendal etc. We even stopped at Papendorp and took a drive to Lutzville. We loved every moment.
Real value for money.
There were a few mistakes: The porch was not very clean and the braai was not clean either. There were cigarette butts lying in the braai and on the stoep. The owner asked us to check out and clean before 9. It was a bit inconvenient for us because we were still in night clothes and the check-out time is 10:00. The bedroom window does not have burglar bars. It's a bit dangerous. The 1 window in the unit also could not open. This caused it to be very hot in the unit. The small fridge was not clean either.
Clean and safe, recommend him.
Had a wonderful stay. Hostess very cute!
Arrives quite late so not much to tell.
