15 guests' feedbackThe unit is nicely secluded. It's quiet, and the surrounding nature is picturesque. The sheep that graze nearby are too tasty.
Wow! Quiet, tidy, incredibly beautiful starry sky at night. House is well equipped with everything you need and more friendly service.
Our stay was delightful. The owner communicated so well and ensured that we had everything we needed. It was easy to find, clean, had all we needed and warm. I would definitely recommend this.
Very well equipped spacious house. Built-in fireplace smokes very well with no smoke inside. Enough candles for load shedding and romantic dinner. Lovely warm bed. Shower works well with lovely hot water and good pressure. Well equipped kitchen with practically everything you need. Quiet environment. Definitely worth it especially for the price.
Please bear in mind the 30 km dirt/gravel road to Doringboom from the tar road. Quite a distance from town. Plan accordingly. I would suggest travelling with a bakkie or SUV. Car would work, but not ideal. Will take longer with car. No signal on dirt roads, very important to take the turn when you see the board next to the road that says Welgemoed Gastehuis. You won't see Doringboom from the main road. One could easily pass the turn-off. Drive in when you see Welgemoed Gastehuis.

Neat and value for money with 2 bedrooms which was essential for me. Service is all via WhatsApp with no personal contact. Works 100% for me.
The owner made you feel very relaxed and safe. She was very hospitable and you immediately felt as if you were going to have a nice visit. The place was clean and spacious. It felt like I was in my own home. The farm is beautiful and all you can hear in the distance is a few sheep bleating. The evenings are the highlight with the starry sky showing off above you in all its might. Five star!
The accommodation is completely neat and appropriate. Luckily we bought wood in town otherwise we would have been out in the cold the first night. Dirt road to the accommodation will not be suitable for all vehicles.

Cute little house, very peaceful, beautiful view. We had a wonderful stay.
Neat houses on a farm about 35 km outside Sutherland. No cell phone reception, but good WiFi. Here you can appreciate nature and silence if you need to break away from the city. Bring your own wood from home for the barbecue.
Nothing embellished or exaggerated. You get a home, neat and complete. You also get loads of silence and peace. Just a baboon munching away in the distance and a herd of boer goats curiously discussing the strangers at the cottage. Wonderful.
