What a wonderful place. We were so pleasantly surprised to see all the goats passing by near the spot. Wonderfully private and comfortable. Our hostess was very friendly and accommodating with our check-in and check-out times. Really a place that we will want to visit again soon.

Everything neat, beautiful and peaceful environment. However, specific unit Pendoring lacks a comfortable sofa to sit on, there are only 2 upright non-comfortable armchairs. The shower in the downstairs bedroom is not functional at all, the whole room gets wet. Although we have been informed about water taking a long time to heat up, we believe they should look at an alternative to save water.

It was like the place had been cleaned weeks ago, closed up and only opened up on the day we arrived without any spot clean. The pool that was supposed to be heated was ice cold. The bath water was barely warm. Very dissappointing.
TV out of order since our arrival, called several times, they promise they will send someone now, someone comes who doesn't even know how the remote works, promise we will contact someone, we called 3 more times, nothing happens. So whole weekend without TV. There are warnings everywhere that we are not allowed to use hair dryers, my wife had a lot of trouble when we decided to drive on Sunday morning. Goats were nice, but that's about it. So service was extremely poor. Not there again, please.
The silence with the birds singing so well was just what we needed to charge our batteries for the last trek of 2022.

Well equipped but the fact that the kitchen is on the top floor with a very narrow staircase at the top makes it difficult to carry crates of food etc. get to the top. The advantage is that you have a nicer view from the braai balcony.

Luxury accommodation in rural surroundings. Was in North West for wedding but would easily come here for a weekend break.
We booked and checked in within an hour, we wouldn't have stayed in Paris. The cottage has everything you need, with a braai stoep on the upper floor by the kitchen and TV and dining room. The rooms and bathrooms are downstairs. Nice swimming pool and beautiful nature.

Trouble with services (power).
Didn't see the hostess at all. There was no welcome and any information passed on, had to call her. Booked Pendoring and paid in full for 5 months, but when we got there she wanted to put us in another unit. Wasn't acceptable at all, but after a phone call we were finally able to go into what we had booked.

This is a very good place to do soul searching and have quiet time with your Creator.
If the fast moving life is getting to much, this is the place to visit. The units are neat and spacious. The wildlife is everywhere and they even walk on the site. Remember your bicycle, there are nice routes.

The lodge is slightly removed from the mainstream weekend activities of Paris, but for sure therefore tranquility.

These are beautiful and well looked after units. Nice bed and bath. I missed a duvet. There were also cobwebs and dead bugs visible when you pulled the bed away from the wall. The rusted black pot was not ideal for cooking. I will take a duvet and pot along next time. The people were kind and helpful. Lovely big gas heater in the room. Value for money.
The accommodation is beautiful and clean. The corner bath in the main bedroom was a big treat. The lukewarm swimming pool was lovely. The environment is very clam and one can really relax. One thing prospective tourists have to know is that there are a lot of flies in summer, especially when food is being prepared. I would recommend buying Doom or other alternatives. Firstly we did not get the accommodation that is advertised on the web. We were looking forward to staying in one of the places that was advertised. Secondly we struggled to make the TV work. Thirdly the gas heater did not work. Fourth it started raining and when we went into the main bedroom, everything was full of water from the toilet to the bedroom. The water literally flowed into the place. It even got wet on the bed. We let the people know and we are still waiting for a reply. Also the stove did not work. We wanted to bake a piece of chicken and after a half hour nothing had happened even though the light proved that the oven was on. It also started hailing and our car stood outside the yard of the house without any protection. We suffered a lot of hail damage.
If it wasn't for the wildlife walking around, nothing would be special about this place. Well, I'm specifically referring to the Soetdoring unit where we were placed. I suspect the owner saw that we are from Botswana and thought this unit would suit "bush dwellers". We were informed that the other units at the Lodge were not available, it was a lie. The bed my 16 year old daughter had to sleep on, was weak. The place is full of dust and cobwebs. We arrived Friday afternoon, except for the owner's voice we heard over the phone, we didn't see anyone for the 4 days we were there. Soetdoring is in the middle of an open field, it is like an oven and there is just a stand-alone fan. The place is solar powered, so at arrival we were informed over the phone that we were not allowed to use a blow dryer, how does a women not use a blow dryer for 4 days?

The accommodation is comfortable and far enough from the town for peace and quiet and yet close enough to grab a quick bite to eat. The cottages are well laid out and equipped.
The units are beautiful. The bugs in the evening were a bit uncomfortable for some of the guests. Maybe just warn in advance that we can bring insecticide. There were also spiders behind the beds. Otherwise it was delicious. I will definitely go again.
The unit does not have air conditioning and the windows in the master bedroom could not be opened so it was very hot. A toaster would have been nice and the door to the unit was broken and I had to climb through the window to get the door open when we left.
The unit we booked was advertised as suitable for 8 but it was actually only suitable for 6. The place was filthy - cupboards full of dust and cobwebs behind the beds etc. We got cold and asked for extra blankets but didn't get any. Bedding was very thin for winter. Windows let in a lot of cold light, didn't close properly. The shower was very weak, almost no water came out of the shower.

Lovely stay we had, would definitely come back. We have to decided to make it our place for tranquility. The heated pool was beautiful especially at night gazing at the stars and listening to sounds of wild animals. The place is big and spacious though we would love to have more pots as it is a self catering facility; an iron and ironing board should also be provided. Overall, lovely stay we had and fairly reasonably priced.

Description
Kameeldoring is a fully equipped self-catering unit with its own yard and braai facilities. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, making it ideal for a family or small group. The kitchen is fully equipped. there is also a TV with selected DStv channels. Minimum bookings for 4 persons will be accepted.
Accommodation comprises 6 double-storey, self-catering chalets, surrounded by natural vegetation that forms a private niche for weary city dwellers. Each unit sleeps between 2 to 8 guests and it includes 2 bathrooms per chalet, of which one is an en-suite bathroom with the exception of the honeymoon suite. All chalets have gas heaters, TV with DStv channels, a safe and an alarm system. Each chalet also has its own braai facilities.
Solar energy is the main source of electricity and our contribution to a more sustainable future. There are a heated splash pool and boma on the premises.
At Doringbos Lodge this guest farm is ideally suited for eco-tourism, photography and game viewing. A veritable paradise for bird watching enthusiasts, hikers and mountain bikers. The farm is enclosed by a modern, electrified game fence to contain more than 15 species of wildlife.
