This bush cottage offers basic self-catering accommodation for 2 people, 1 queen-size bed with an en-suite bathroom with shower, basin, and toilet, cleaning services on a daily base, free Wi-Fi and TV with the Essential DStv package.

The unit makes use of a communal pool.

The cottage has a kitchenette with a bar fridge and freezer, kettle, induction stove, pots, crockery, and cutlery. Outside the cottage is a braai area and undercover parking for your vehicle. This is not a 4 star accommodation. Place is clean and tidy, but basslis is not there. No complimentary toiletries. Generator not kicked in, must call manager and ask. No WiFi in the morning. No hot water. The gas was up. Coffee, half a can of coffee. Really could have just thrown the coffee out. Asked if there was aircon or fan, and was confirmed there was both. There was no fan. Not really 4 star.

"Nice stay but couldn't find my shower seat in the shower. I have a leg."

Recommend the longer access route. The shorter dirt road is terribly poor.

We spent a wonderful peaceful weekend. The accommodation is neat and well equipped with everything you need. The owners Colin and Carien and their staff make sure their guests enjoy their stay and can just relax. The accommodation is within walking distance to the river where one can watch the best sunset in the bushveld, and if you are lucky the elephants come to visit the river. Would definitely recommend the place and it's affordable. Thank you for a nice and wonderful weekend.

For bird lovers this is a very good place. Various animals that come to visit on the lawn. We were received very kindly and Colin was always available, friendly and helpful.

Doringpoort is home away from home. The owners Heystek and Amanda have visitors' interests at heart as if you were family. With air conditioning that works, comfortable beds, a braai area that is cleaned every day, a splash pool 10 meters away among shady trees and the Kruger's gate 20 minutes away, a getaway could not be more ideal than Doringpoort. This was our second visit and I think Doringpoort sets the standard when it comes to value for money. We would recommend it to anyone.

The place is cosy, easy to locate whether using their worded directions or on the navigator. The layout inside the venue is easy and user friendly. Pity we booked limited time. It would have been wonderful to stay more than 2 nights.

Doringpoort: Soetdoring is a beautiful and safe place to call home. The hospitality and cleanliness is amazing. The unit is spacious and caters to all your needs.

"The wildlife park is literally on the other side of the wire. Nice place to unpack and take day trips in the park."

When we stopped there, the zebras grazed peacefully around our little house. Everything was perfect. Silver clean. Nothing was suspended. My husband was particularly impressed with our barbecue area which had everything. There are lovely paths along the river to admire the sunset and if you are lucky there is a lion or 2 or a crocodile to be seen. If it wasn't so far from the Western Cape, we often went there to pack.

Friendly and pleasant people. I even had a barbecue with Heystek and Amanda. Really enjoyed the time there and everything was neat. The animals up to your door were wonderful. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you very much Heystek and Amanda.

All you could ask for to have a comfortable stay. Nice kitchen and braai area. Well situated to Malelane and Crocodile Bridge Gate of the Kruger Park.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Fell in love with Marlothpark. Would like to acquire property. Some roads need urgent attention.

We were generously received by Amanda who later sat and visited with us in the splash pool. No effort was too much to make us feel at ease and at home. Heystek and Amanda made it a point to find out every day how our stay was going and if there were any complaints. The garden is beautiful and effort has been made to make us aware of wildlife that visits the garden. We saw more animals here that came to visit us than during drives and walks. Despite the heat wave we experienced, the air conditioning kept our nights delightfully cool. The silence and tranquility was an absolute relief after a very busy year and the hustle and bustle of the city. We will definitely visit Doringpoort again in the future.

Our stay was wonderful and we immediately felt at home. It's really close to Crocodile Bridge and we were in the wildlife park in no time. Our unit was neat and clean and very nice for 2 people who want to be outside in nature. The wildlife used to stop by regularly and we enjoyed it immensely.

We were on our honeymoon and decided on the spur of the moment to go to the wildlife park for a few more days. Uncle Heystek responded quickly and made a place available for us. The place is very cute, neat and well furnished. The garden and facilities are beautiful. The Uncle has other places on the land as well which are very very beautiful and also a big house across the road. The wild animals walk in the Uncle's garden. I would definitely recommend visiting there. Blessings.

"Calm and Relaxed. Very well equipped and host and wife very professional and friendly."

We slept there for 3 nights and explored the Wildtuin a bit. Host and his wife were initially out of town but made excellent arrangements with their maid, Nora, and we were received very friendly and professionally. The unit is very well equipped with a nice braai area and outdoor chairs. Cleaning service was painfully neat. Would recommend the place anytime and it's only 20 km from Crocodile Bridge Gate.

They came every morning and evening to make sure everything was right and throughout the day too and they made sure we were familiar with the area. Thanks for the cleaners, it was very nice to drive and when we came back the house was clean. My car broke down and Heystek came to help - thanks Heystek. The Friday night before we left, Amanda sent delicious prawns, my daughter ate very well - thank you Amanda. We will definitely recommend the place and go back there again.

Beautiful place, lovely people and the first night was fantastic. The second night, however, was a nightmare. One of the owner's dogs barked non-stop from 7:15 in the evening til 00:00. I went to look if there was something causing it to bark, but didn't see or hear anything. I first spoke nicely and then more firmly, to no avail, and it barked right by our window. I do believe that if the owner were there it would not have happened and therefore I would return there. Very quiet and a lovely place, really comfortable beds and immaculate. A pleasure to stay there.

This was the best self catering I have yet experienced. Beautiful, friendly owners made us welcome, even came to see us on the next day, an outstanding experience and well affordable.

Could do with door separating room and bathroom. Shower water must be sorted out, it's either very hot or very cold. Struggling to get combos right. Proposal submitted for blind or curtain in front of kitchen window as everyone can see from outside if the light is on in the evening in kitchen as well as bedroom, otherwise it was very good, fully equipped, safe, very nice and modern.
