There are 2 rooms next to the main house; Buitekamer and Oom Pollie. Both rooms can accommodate 2 guests in each.
There are 4 communion rooms. Sorgenfrei, Hough and Erda all have double beds with en-suite showers. Moolman has a king-size bed with en-suite shower.
The two modern flats, Lizzie and Piet Links can accommodate 2 guests in each and have their own private braai area.
The Knegte room is a beautiful room that can accommodate 2 guests and has oil lamps, a fireplace and an en-suite bathroom.
All rooms are air-conditioned with access to Wi-Fi,
except for the Knegte Room which has no air-conditioning.
Off-street parking is available.

Our stay was fantastic. Ideal for a night or two's stopover in Calvinia. We were able to live and experience the 'old town' feeling again. The staff was excellent! Private. Great space.
We were looking for a safe place to stay for a group, with children from babies to primary school age, and this was exactly what we found. 3 houses next to each other on a lovely large yard where the children immediately started playing and running. The cars are safely in the yard behind a closed gate with remote control access. Cottages are well equipped and there was a large bundle of wood, complimentary. We had a nice fire, thank you. We also found it considerate that there were mosquito nets in all the cottages.
Our rooms were exactly as requested and though they are not open for dinner they provided dinner for my colleague and myself.
The rooms are clean, tidy and very homely. The people very friendly and service excellent. Food is 5 star.
Very hospitable and there was everything we needed.
The rooms are beautiful with the old-fashioned atmosphere preserved in the furniture and decor. It's gratifying that this old guest house keeps our culture and history "alive".
We only spent the night there and everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast can possibly be included, as with most other places there.
I also want to say thank you for making arrangements to get my wedding ring back to me after I forgot it there. I really appreciate the extra effort you went to!

Delicious food, pepper tree coolness, porch and cozy house.
We slept in the Servants' Room - what an experience! The room intertwines the historical with modern conveniences in a comfortable way. You can marvel at the detail in the decor. We will definitely stay there again.
Our third time here. This time we were 16 people. Wonderful place and wonderful people. Lorraine was fantastic. Definitely a place to visit.
The Coetzees of Calvinia should train and inform the rest of the hospitality industry in SA on how to receive, accommodate and entertain guests. Absolutely excellent and excellent value for money!
