Pierre is a fantastic host. We were immediately notified by Whatsapp where the place is, what are its arrival and departure times. Even on request, recommendations of places to eat with a Google reference of where they are located. The location is perfect, especially if you need to do a hospital visit at Mediclinic. The place is beautiful, exquisite, nice decor, clean, homely, friendly, great TV options, should you want to watch. Overall a great place to stay.

Stay was good, the host is friendly and the area is safe. The water is a bit brown (forgot to inform the host).
Very nice stay. Excellent hospitable service. Will always stay here again when we visit Tzaneen again.
Stay was pleasant. The only problem was that the overnight room did not have closets where you could unpack your clothes. We had to live out of a suitcase. There is a hanging space, but it is impersonal not to be able to hang clothes in a closet. I suggest a wardrobe in the room.

Our son was on a cricket tour in Tzaneen. We came through on the Thursday night and slept over for his Friday game, and then we were on our way to the Zoo. Pierre, the owner, waited for us until 21:00 in the evening and came to welcome us.
Everything was just as advertised and the owner was very friendly and went the extra mile for us.
Our accommodation was clean, the place is very tidy and we felt safe at all times.
Pierre received us kindly and gave us the option to choose from several rooms, as we were the only guests that evening. He is also equipped with a generator for load shedding. We would use Douglas Villas again anytime.
Thanks to our host we felt so at home. Beautiful room that is big and spacious, and so comfy. If park run is your thing, this is the place to stay as this is not far from it. Close to some nice restaurants also.

I was warmly welcomed by the staff and Pierre. I felt so at home and comfortable from the moment I got there. Everyone is friendly. The rooms are fantastically furnished. It's been like a second home to me. And the breakfast was delicious. I will definitely stay here again.
The bed's mattress was a challenge for us, but otherwise the well-equipped unit was very neat and clean.

I had such a lovely stay at Douglas Villas! The cottage was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Everything has been newly renovated which gives it a modern, clean feel. The breakfast was superb! I haven't had such a start-to-finish pleasant experience at a guesthouse in a long time. I will certainly stay here again!
