We had a lovely stay in Down The Lane. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and tidy and well equipped with everything you need. The decor matches the style of the house and compliments the era from which this house comes. Beautiful porch and pretty garden which is a lovely place for early morning coffee. One does not feel as if one is in the city. Would love to stay there again.
It's good that Renier has strict conduct rules.
This self-catering accommodation is spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Renier has paid careful attention to every detail from generous toilet accessories to a kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay. The courtyard garden is full of well tended greenery and a delightful spot for a glass of wine as the sun was setting. Renier was a helpful and discreet host and we will definitely return to Down The Lane whenever we need to visit Cape Town.
Location of Down The Lane is good and it is quick to get to the Waterfront or Table Mountain. Little garden on porch is very nice and it makes it pleasant to sit outside. Stay was pleasant and we would consider staying here again.

This was our third stay at Down The Lane and again the standard was excellent. The apartment is comfortable, quiet, exceptionally clean and has fast WiFi. The owner, Renier, is professional - always ready to help if needed, but never obtrusive. We also really like the location which is within walking distance to many attractions, shops and cafes.
Located in a very nice area, close to good restaurants, with good links to all points of interest. Comfortable and clean home (with very comfy beds). Has WiFi. Beautiful terrace. Would recommend.
I really enjoyed spending time here before and after my race. It was relaxing and only a stone's throw from the shop and restaurants, so you can reach them by foot.
Very clean, safe, comfortable place to stay. Nicely situated for restaurants and shops. Will stay there again. Road parking was available 100 m down the road but not always outside the apartment. Highly recommended.
The flat was great for a few days in Cape Town and is well appointed. There is a great Portuguese/Italian restaurant nearby - Beleza. It is also close for Table Mountain/Signal Hill and the city area including the Waterfront.
Spacious rooms and full DStv available. Very close to the city which is comfortable. Only negative comment is the streer parking.
Renier was where he needed to be and effective. Place is perfectly located by the beach. Quiet and private.
