Downes Guest Farm was a lovely overnight stop on the way to Kgalagadi. The house is clean and tidy and very well equipped. The lamb pies and salads for dinner were delicious!

Very peaceful atmosphere on the working farm. The room was pretty neat and clean and there was a dining room/kitchen available where we could make our own food. The person who welcomed us was also very friendly and helpful.
We used the accommodation for the Meat Festival. The hostess received us kindly and everything was in order. I can attest to no mistakes. Will definitely stay there again.
We used it as a stopover on our way to and from Kgalagadi. Host organised a lovely dinner for us and was very helpful. Clean and comfy accomodation in a beautiful farm setting. Thank you!

The owners are very friendly, a lovely couple who made us feel at home. We honestly enjoyed our stay so much despite loadshedding. We would definitely go back and have told our family and friends about Downes Gasteplaas.

We enjoyed a memorable stay at Downes Guest Farm. Hosts Maree and Francois were very friendly and hospitable. We loved the large farm kitchen where we spent our evening with the indoor fire keeping us warm. The rooms were perfect, each having a light and torch for loadshedding. In the fresh morning we enjoyed running around the farm taking photographs of the windmills, the sunrise and the farm animals. Such a peaceful atmosphere. Perfect for families and children.
