104 guests' feedbackIt was a great experience. So serene. Our room was at the Lakeview. It was a great timeout.
We had a very nice stay.
The Dragon Peaks Mountain Resort is fantastic. Beautiful view. Everything is available that you need for self-catering.
Very nice, very central in the Drakensberg, so you can drive in all directions only about 10 minutes to go do something nice. Very close to Champagne Sports Golf Course for those who want to go - we did, and it was very nice.
Relaxing, beautiful and quiet.
The resort was filled with campers with families over the Easter weekend. Very friendly atmosphere and quiet. Love the outdoors. Not all on-site trails available for hiking, but enjoyed the ones we could do. Very close to external activity destinations.
The accommodation was clean and comfortable.
Very pleasant stay in an excellent location with great facilities. Highly recommended.
It was very nice. But our door was just a problem to get open and close. But it was awesome and please get WiFi for us coming from overseas please.
Position, safety, comfort, and cleanliness - all good.
Pleasant stay in the heart of the Drakensberg.
It is very peaceful quiet but very comfortable. A must for a peaceful getaway.
The area's points of interest are legion and the surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. Dragon Peaks is a perfect choice for hikers and nature lovers.
Will definitely stay here again.
Would recommend the place. There is a lot to do in the region.
A lovely place centrally located in the Drakensberg. Lovely walks close by. The chalet was very spacious and well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
Views were amazing from anywhere you looked.
We stayed in the Lakeside cottage. Breathtaking views of small lake and to the left the Dragon Peaks Mountain. We could only stay 2 full days. Would recommend staying at least 4 days to experience everything the resort has to offer. Will definitely be going again.
Great location with lots to do. Very beautiful nature clean between the mountains.
The place was great, cleanliness, and the restaurant were all top standard. I will definitely recommend it to others. The only issue was that the WiFi was not working.
We stayed for 3 nights in one of the Lakeside Suites. It is beautifully furnished with everything you would need. The veranda with built-in braai and view of the small pond, as well as the welcome afternoon sun was a big bonus. Als was neat and very clean. Would definitely recommend it. The restaurant's meals are also very tasty. Lots to do and see in the area.
Will definitely go back! It was nicely located to go out and do other activities. Only the power was a problem when it rains, but otherwise nice. Will say they can expand a bit more on what there is to do, but otherwise damn nice.
Perfect for a long weekend break to enjoy nature and tranquility.
Happy about everything.
Perfect place to unwind with beautiful views of the mountains.
Monkeys are the problem.
Beautiful setting. Comfortable and clean accommodation. The lakeside units are fairly new and well-equipped. The rest of the resort can definitely do with some upgrading. Some areas are not in good condition. The establishment does not have a liquor license at present. Customers were not informed about this beforehand, which is unfortunate. Nice restaurant.
The suite was really well equipped and tidy with a beautiful view. Mavis deserves a thumbs up. She cleaned the suite very well every day. I specifically chose this resort because they advertise 4 ponds where you can fish. Even the brochure in the room mentions that you can catch bass, but not their grass carp. However, these ponds were so overgrown that it was impossible. I think this is a misrepresentation and they should be urgently addressed. The shop is very well equipped.
Most enjoyable. We were in a couples unit overlooking the Dam. Unit very clean and has everything one needs.

The unit overlooking the pond and mountains was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Everything in the unit was new. The restaurant serves delicious meals. We felt very safe on the hiking trails in and around Dragons Peak Resort. The horses and zebra are so special and walk between the units. We have previously stayed at Dragon Peaks Mountain Resort and chose it again because it is centrally located and easy to explore the area.
A very convenient and pleasant resort, close to all that we wished to do in the area.
It was a lovely break with everything to do near you.
The website description of Dragon Peaks Mountain Resort said there were hair dryers, but there were not in the units. There was no WiFi either.
The rooms were spacious, neat and clean. We had a wonderful rest. Will stay there again. Over a long weekend, one would only expect a little more in terms of family-oriented activities in the resort. Fortunately, we were there for the Drakensberg's boys choir performances.
Roads very poor. Nice coffee shops.
Have stayed there before. Location is near many beautiful places. Near the boys' choir which is a bonus to music lovers.
Lovely time of the year with many activities ranging from a helicopter flip, a visit to the reptile park and falcon ridge, numerous hikes (at Dragon Peaks and a bit further on at Monk's Cowl) and very fortunate to have coincided with Music in the Mountains by the Drakensberg Boys Choir.
Rooms were neat and tidy and very spacious.
Fantastic location. Wonderful nature. Apartment spacious, spotless, comfortable, well located. Pool clean. Unfortunately walking routes not clearly marked and map not worth the paper it is printed on. A day spa would be a bonus.
Dragons Peak Mountain Resort is perfectly situated for accommodation if you want to attend a concert of the Drakensberg Boys School Choir.
We were back at the same resort for a very long time and didn't know what to expect. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the suite and they cleaned and redecorated every morning. Was very happy with the location and everything to do within a 10 - 20 km radius. The helicopter ride on site that takes you over the mountains was amazing.
Clean and staples. The food at the restaurant is value for money and really tasty.
Resort awesome for families. Nature and animals. Loved the horses. Management should implement their rule of noise control as promised.
The mountain views were great, trails and entertainment. Will definitely visit again. The only thing I was not happy to see was the horse stables. More care for the horses should be put into place. The helicopter experience was amazing!
Very beautiful and peaceful, helicopter up to the mountain is a must.
I did not have information regarding the breakfast that was shown during my booking was not included. Just paid for it myself.
Al die personeel was vriendelik en behulpsaam. Die verblyf was luuks en netjies. Wit beddegoed het beïndruk. Etes in die restaurant was puik. Natuurlik was die omgewing met sy berge en oornag sneeu asemrowend.
The rooms have spectacular views, are extremely well designed and furnished with everything you need. We were very sorry to have to leave after only one night and will definitely be back for a longer stay.
Friendly service, quiet nice place to visit with the most beautiful hiking trails for the adventurous. For the little guys who want to do little, the most delicious food available at their restaurant or just hang around and visit the pub.
Very helpful. It was our 40th anniversary and they specially decorated our dinner table beautifully and put a beautiful message in the flowers for us. Appreciated it very much.
Within a span of 30 km, there are enough places to eat, drink and visit to keep you busy all day.
The accommodation was clean and tidy and everything we needed was there. Cleaning services were also very prompt and tidy. Definitely recommendable. The resort has short walks, but it's worth going to Monks Owl for walks deeper into the mountain.
Our stay was pleasant but we felt the following disappointed us: Camping area is very close to the chalets and tends to be very noisy. Maintenance was lacking in some areas particularly as regards open sewer. Old decrepit caravans are an eyesore. Reception and restaurant buildings are very old and need an upgrade.
Suite was clean and modern. Perfect for a couple. Suite was well equipped with everything we needed. Also a beautiful view from the suite and a nice veranda for barbecuing.
We stayed in one of the lifestyle units and were surprised with the modern facilities and high standard of cleanliness. Definitely a place where you can switch off and relax!
Lots of different things to do. Excellent holiday destination.
Enough activities to keep any member of a family busy. Restaurant meals are excellent and good value for money.
Was an enjoyable weekend though dams were low but enjoyed everything.
For the price, one would have expected an air conditioner. When doors open, monkeys enter.
The unit is very well equipped and tidy, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the restaurant's food is delicious and prices very reasonable.
The resort and our accommodation was amazing. We enjoyed our short stay and looking forward to our stay next year again.
A beautiful and well-equipped unit, the view, good service, nice walking routes, peaceful surroundings and easy access to other walking routes such as the Blue Grotto and Sterkspruit Falls all contributed to make our stay enjoyable. Add to that the great meals in the restaurant and a helicopter ride with a glass of sparkling wine on the mountain, and you have the recipe for an unforgettable experience!
Great place to relax. We stayed in the Lakeside suites and enjoyed our stay.

The Lakeside Suite was nice and spacious. There was plenty of space for our camping cot. Very nice break away.
Dragon Peaks is just the place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We stayed in the Lake Side Suites for 11 days and it was wonderfully quiet. The Oaks Superette has everything one might need at affordable rates. We went horse riding and the guide and horses were very well trained. There are beautiful safe hiking trails with waterfalls. The restaurant also offers delicious meals. The whole resort is tidy and the staff very friendly. Thank you very much for a top break. The Valley Bakery, which is 6 km down the road, offers delicious meals and freshly baked goods. Please note that WiFi is only available in the common areas.
Looking forward to returning.
The resort is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant's food is amazing. Will definitely recommend. There's a lot to do in the area.
Staff were very accommodating.
We stayed in one of the Lakeside suites. It is modern, was well equipped, clean and the accommodation was very comfortable.
Dragon peaks were easy to get. They were friendly. The unit was very nice and clean and everything was in its place. We would definitely recommend Dragon Peaks.
Accommodation is very neat and restaurant is great.
Own accommodation was very clean. We stayed in a Lakeview suite (121). The units have no window that can be left open. Burglar/mesh in front of the kitchen and bathroom windows will help a lot to also get fresh air. Windows should stay closed over monkeys.
The fishing ponds have monster grass carp which makes me wonder if the bass will survive in the ponds. Just wondering.
My wife and I stayed in a beautiful room overlooking a small pond with a rich bird life. The restaurant was a bit disappointing with some of the items on the menu not available. Still, I would highly recommend Dragon Peaks. The location is wonderful and you will find rest and food for your soul here. Next time I might just want to stay more than one night to explore the area with my mountain bike.
Would stay there again but I found the boiler very dirty inside and reported it.
We really enjoyed the short stay and will definitely go back again!
Very Clean and tidy! No noise and very good service! Would recommend to anyone!
Baie netjies, skoon en ongelooflik rustig. Altyd vriendelike personeel.
Chose the place for my wife's 50th birthday. It was our first time in the Drakensberg and Dragon Peaks met all our expectations. Will definitely stay with them again.
Scenery beautiful and quiet. Loved the horses running in the afternoon. Incredibly tame.
Unit was beautiful, service was great and the setting breathtaking. A visit to the eagle, falcon and owl show at the raptor shelter on the R600 is a definite must.

Very very nice. Accommodation was perfect and beautiful, a lot to do and food was delicious.
It is a beautiful place, modern and very neat and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed the short time at Dragon Peaks. The facilities are very neat and well maintained. There are also many recreational facilities and events.
Ligging is fantasties en die unit waarin ons gebly het skoon en baie mooi en nie eers te praat van die view nie.
Beautiful, breathtaking place. Friendly, helpful staff. Always feel welcome.
The accommodation was of high quality. There are so many activities for any age group and the view of the mountains is absolutely picturesque. Will definitely visit again.
Beautiful place, friendly staff, well equipped apartment. Best place to be.
Very peaceful and tranquil. Clean and friendly. Will definitely book again.
Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend away. The staff are friendly and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful and just what you need to recharge your batteries. I only regret that we missed snow. Guess we came a week too early. Only comment for Dragon Peaks to perhaps consider is to invest in slightly larger guest towels. Otherwise everything was perfect - thank you for being part of the incredible memories we made.
A wonderful experience. Would want to experience it with kids.
Loved it, friendly staff, cost effective. Wish I stayed longer. Love the view of nature. It's all kids friendly, family reliant its relaxing. Can't say more than, I loved it
See stars.
Very nice place we had a relaxing time.
Very nice stay, will definitely go back.
Dragon Peaks staff are professional, friendly and helpful. We had a very nice stay.
Neat and clean and well set out rooms (Lakeside was where we stayed). The restaurant was also very nice and the special on a Wednesday after the Drakensburg boys was a treat (Eisbein).
Peaceful and neat.
