Excellent accommodation and very spacious home. Lovely stoep area and entertainment provided for children - board games, puzzles and such. Right on the beach and the letting agent is amazing, providing all you need to know on text without you asking. Loved it.
The house is located on the beach with a wonderful view!
The floor was dirty and no broom, but other than that small thing, we were very happy with the house, the service, and most especially the location.
It was a pleasant stay. The overall experience was enjoyable. One of the plugs in the kitchen was not working. There was no scourer to wash with. Only two dishwashing tablets were provided for our 4-day stay. There was no braai wood or wood when we arrived for the first braai or for an indoor fire in winter. There were no basics, e.g., salt, coffee, tea. Basic pantry items are usually expected in rental accommodations, even if it's a self-catering setup. I don't expect a full pantry, but a welcome package would be great.
Location fantastic. Children play on the beach and you can watch them from the porch. Nice pet friendly. All that bothered a bit is that you can hear the people walking on the 1st floor.

Very good location and well equipped house.
We absolutely loved our stay at Driftwood in Paternoster. The house is clean, spacious and provides all necessities. Beautiful open-plan kitchen and dinning area which overlooks the ocean waves. Each room in tip top shape which made resting a breeze! I would recommend the upstairs area for kids. One thing I will request is definitely more serving bowls, dishes and pots. We were a family of 8 so food servings were a lot for the amount of available pots and serving dishes we could use. We ended up washing out pots to reuse for a different dish.
Everything in the house was perfect would only suggest that guests be informed that there is construction next door. Construction starts just after 7 and doesn't end until 5.30 so if you wanted to enter a bit it was quite disturbing.
Had a wonderful stay, we will most definitely go back for another stay.
The house lived very well. We were impressed that it had 2 separate DStv decoders. I would like to put my vehicle in the garage. Why was the garage closed?
Picturesque. Relaxing atmosphere. Neat, clean, spacious, practicle, beautiful interior decorating and wonderful atmosphere. Check out the dolphins, whales, birds, and eternal blue sea. The staff at Stay at Paternoster were very helpful. Locals friendly and kind.
Stunning house on the beach, had a great relaxing stay.
Beds definitely need replacing , towels also. Was enjoyable and location superb just very costly seeing it was very hot no aircon no fans and you cannot sleep with windows open because of opperrtunistic crime. We had no floor mats by baths and shower's floors can get slippery. In asking we were given bath mats. Would definitely go back if there was aircons and better beds and then the rates would be acceptable.
Although Driftwood is a very fully equipped, comfortable, spacious holiday destination, we feel the advertisement on Lekkeslaap's website is misleading. One of our requirements was indoor parking and that's why we decided on Driftwood even though it's a big place and we were only 2 people. On the website it is advertised with parking inside. When we arrived at the house the garage was locked and only after we inquired were we told that it was not available to holidaymakers. Our car alarm was activated 2 times during the night in the period we were there. Since we were warned by LekkeSlaap as well as Paternoster Accommodation about "petty crime", we activated the house alarm as soon as we left the house. The alarm went off almost every time, so that later we only stayed at home. We have never been to the West Coast and would love to explore the surrounding area. Furthermore, it is specified that the linen is changed after 5 days. We were there 8 nights without the linen ever being changed.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This property is pet-friendly please note a non-refundable pet deposit of R200 per pet is payable with the balance 7 days before arrival.The balance is payable 7 days prior to arrival.
No check-ins or check-outs are offered on Good Friday, Christmas Day or New Year's Day
Key- and breakage deposit:
Key- and breakage deposit is payable along with the balance of the booking and refundable by bank transfer within 5 - 7 working days after departure, once the house has been scrutinised and all found in order. Please note that the key deposit will be retained and additional charges imposed if more guests than booked are found to be utilising the premises. Please furnish us with your banking details on arrival. Keys will not be handed over under any circumstances unless the key and breakage deposit has been received.
Minimum stay required:
2 nights in low and mid-season
3 nights over long weekends
4 nights over Easter weekend
7 nights in high season
Guests must first visit our offices to check in and get their keys.
When entering Paternoster, turn left at the four-way stop. The 'Stay in Paternoster' office is situated about 75 m further, on the right-hand side of the road, at 87 St. Augustine Road.
