Very nice stay. It is a bit far from the sea and with the floods and storms the beach was very messy full of logs, rubbish, reeds etc., but it is very beautiful and peaceful there. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place.
Our stay was fantastic.
False advertising. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Total waste of money. You can’t swim on the beach anywhere. The flat is infested with bugs. At night, when you are lying in bed, massive cockroaches run around the flat and on you. The roof is leaking, with water running down the walls. The shower head is broken, and water sprays onto the ceiling when you open the tap. There are holes in the bedding, the braai is broken, and the fan is broken.
Beach is dirty. Community must work together to keep beach clean. Anglers waste a lot. Can't walk barefoot, the beach is full of broken glass and rubbish.

Stay was nice except for the shower leaking and the power being faulty. They can make a canopy over the porch to make the braai more comfortable. The beach needs a lot of attention and cleaning.
The main gate is on a hill which hinders parking in front of the gate when the gate has to be opened manually. Car doesn't work. When we arrived there was no one to show us the place to stay. I accidentally discovered the key to the unit after a few hours hanging from the sliding door's top safety lock behind the dirty curtains. The unit itself was quite clean under the circumstances. The unit is neglected and needs work. The interior doors have been pulled loose and one has a hole in it. The toilet door was painted, albeit broken, and the oil paint was still wet. The furniture is dirty and of poor quality. There is no toilet paper and/or garbage can or bags. The outdoor bin is overflowing and has rotted. No broom, mop or dishcloth. The ants covered our cooler within an hour of our arrival. The ceiling and walls have no finish and large holes show. The AC is on a prepaid meter, so if you want to turn on AC you have to purchase power yourself. Parking was a big problem for everyone there. The owner was unpolished and like a waffer sergeant was throwing around orders about who should "park" where so that her "beams" wouldn't be blocked, because she said, "There's a guy breaking in there". She demanded that we remove the placemats so our dogs wouldn't spill on them. It was a pet-friendly unit that we booked. Needless to say, we left before 9am the next morning.

We recommend driftwood chalets getaway as a real peace of mind.
Make provision for senior citizens or groups during off-peaks and when demand is low. Special rates to them should be considered.
Not a nice beach for family.
Please see what can be done about the maintenance like flushing toilets, tap handles falling off in the shower and bath, somewhere to put your soap in the shower so its not on the floor, replace the old couches, leaking roof and leaking toilets to mention a few. The staff are very nice and an awesome view, I would love to go back and hope it can be upgraded. Thanks.

Nice view. No place to hang towels. Need more parking. Gate to beach very rusted, difficult to open. Owner friendly, but not always.
