We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage. The aircons were a relief in the January heat along with the indoor grill. The place is very neatly equipped. Also went to look at the farm and drove around the farm. Would like to stay there one day with the whole family.
Wonderful stay in a well-appointed cottage. Complete tranquility everything one could want for a peaceful stay in the middle of nowhere!
Freddie was very helpful and so friendly! Very good service and very nice house! We felt very at home and comfortable. They also gave us permission to go swimming at the other part of the farm. Extremely pleasant in that heat (and load shedding).
The 70 km dirt road was a challenge for just one night's sleep.
The right place to experience the Kalahari's silence and tranquility. The staff are excellent and helpful. The accommodation is great and it is the best place to find tranquility.
It was incredibly peaceful. Cottage was clean and very tidy. Tastefully furnished and everything you need. We will definitely visit again - will stay longer next time.
See stars.
It was beautiful, clean, tidy and the people there were very friendly and helpful. Jean-Mari and Ferdi planned everything so beautifully and were just a feast to work with and communicate with. Thank you very much!
Beautiful! Very neat and tasteful decor. We will definitely visit there again, this time for longer. Most beautiful sunset!
What a gorgeous venue in a well equipped and stunning cottage.
Comfortable neat cottage.
The tranquillity of the environment was just what I needed and we love the game drive. I would definitely bring my whole family back for a collective break away.
Everything one needs is there. Will stay there again.
We had a lovely stay and there was everything we needed. Our children played in the red sand all the time. There are some maintenance jobs that need attention. Clearer communication would be good, especially i. f. m. "daily cleaning services and daily wood supply" as indicated on the website's description. The latter services were not available. It's a beautiful place! We will definitely come again.
Very cute house, with all the necessary implements and a lot of privacy!
Maybe looking at replacing the cutlery and just going through the list of equipment again. Some of the items are not complete.
A beautiful setting and some thought given to the accommodation, a nice thought is ice in the freezer. We did find all the plates, cooking products very dusty and needed cleaning before use, seems like n- one has stayed here in a while. No coffee press nor milk for coffee, no emergency lights in living area nor torches (now stage 6 load shedding). No Wi-Fi available and no advise on extremely bad road to be experienced from Askham to the farm which is badly rutted and travelling is approx 20kms per hr in 4x4.
Had the opportunity to meet the new owner, Nico van de Berg at the Farmstead. It is a fantastic location and the whole ambience and the fantastic facilities can only make for an unforgettable stay!
We can't wait to visit the Kalahari again.
We had a great time! Loved the cottage and its surroundings. Just what we needed to relax and forget about everything. Ferdi and rest of the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the drive on the farm as well. I will definitely recommend it to anyone. Would love to go back there sometime in the future.
The experience was very nice - small finishing touches that are missing: No toilet brushes, no soaps, shampoo etc. not in bathrooms. Also very nice!
