The house offers 3 bedrooms that are furnished with double beds and 4 bathrooms. The main and the second bedroom (on the top floor) each have an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The third bedroom (on the ground floor) is also an en-suite with a bathtub and there is a shower in the guest toilet.
There is also 2 extra single beds in the annex next to the TV room on the top floor.
The open-plan kitchen is well-equipped with a gas stove, an electric oven, microwave, air fryer, coffee machine, a Nespresso coffee machine, a dishwasher, pots and pans, cutlery and other kitchen utensils.
A washing machine, tumble dryer and an additional fridge is in the garage.
There is an 8 KVA inverter and 10 KVA batteries to lessen the impact of loadshedding.
Guests can enjoy their meals in the dining area that links with the living area. The living area leads out onto a verandah with a built-in braai and an outdoor patio set. From the veranda, various bird species can be observed in the indigenous garden, as well as along the beach. The fortunate may even see dolphins, whales, and seals from the house.
The birds (more than 90 species) in the immediate area include a variety of Cormorants (3 general species) and Terns (at least 4 species), numerous Oystercatchers, and summer visitors. There are also many field birds in the garden, of which there are 5 species of Larks in "Hannasbaai-koppies" behind the house.
Guests have access to a premium DStv package (Explora), Netflix and unlimited internet.
The house's extraordinary setting offers access to the beach, pools and rocks, and is exceptionally child-friendly! It is the ideal family setting.

They cater for lumps with a security gate and camp hut. The house is furnished with everything one might need, including WiFi and an impressive bookshelf.

My parents, brother and I stayed at Duifieklip for one week at the end of February 2024. I was torn about leaving a review because I don't want word to get out how fantastic this holiday home is! Lol! The location being on the ocean is spectacular. The garden leading to the ocean is so pretty, filled with a huge variety of birds, and hearing the birds chirping made our holiday special. The sounds of the gulls and the waves created a feeling of peace. The house itself was more than perfect! It had everything one would want for a truly comfortable vacation. There are so many features to mention at Duifieklip: The downstairs braai area/stoep with table was perfect, the lounge, kitchen, downstairs dining area, upstairs patio with unbelievable views. Each of the bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms. The garage had an extra fridge with washer and dryer. Kayaks, life vests, sun umbrellas and so much more to make for a perfect, perfect holiday. We felt very safe as the house has an alarm system and is well situated for safety. The house is close to a local shopping village, the Spar and several lovely restaurants. Paternoster is 20-30 mins away, Stompneus baai has a lovely beach and we found lots to do in the area. All in all, we did not want for a thing and our expectations were exceeded.
We had the best time at Duifieklip celebrating my 40th birthday. We were 6 adults and toddlers. The house has everything you need, it's right on the beach and the garden is perfect for kids to play. We had the most relaxing weekend sitting outside, playing board games and strolling down to the beach to go fishing & kayaking. The house was clean with an impressive library, every kitchen utensil you could ever need and an inverter in case of load shedding. We all said we would definitely be back! What a beautiful home in a beautiful part of South Africa.
Terribly nice stay!
The house is literally on the beach. It is built in such a way that you can have a wonderful time on the stoep, no matter how strong the wind blows. The house has everything you could possibly need during your visit. The alarm system also made us feel very safe when we went out or went to bed at night. Hostess was always friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place anytime.

A place for rejuvenation, watching the different moods of the ocean. Located right off the beach. So well equipped. A safe, sheltered bay. The host is such a responsive host. We will definitely be back.

The house is equipped with absolutely everything to ensure a lovely, luxurious holiday. Glauda is super helpful and just really nice. Dierdré allowed us to take our dogs with us, and we and the four-legged friends really had a great time and played wonderfully in the rock pools. The house and garden are artistic, the book collection excellent, the kitchen has everything you can dream of, comfortable beds, beautiful view and is wonderfully quiet. Full marks!

Arrived earlier than expected to a windy St. Helena. The house is very well equipped, and the stoep overlooking the ocean is where most of our time was spent. A very nice and quiet location with great views.

House has all you need, even a backup inverter that really helps in today's SA, having continued use of the internet, TV, lights and alarm. Great views, fantastic well-maintained garden, my wife was able to garden 50 metres from the ocean! Dierdre kindly agreed to allow us to take our 2 dogs and 1 of them didn't want to leave! The selection of books is amazing, would need to stay longer just to read more of them. Even the cleaner was polite and friendly. The only negative was I left some clothing behind that I'm still hopeful will be found. We will be back.

Wow is the only way to describe Duifieklip. My family and I had the most incredible time and the stunning house is fully equipped with everything you would ever need. The beach right outside the front door was amazing - we walked there every morning and evening. Our pup Isabelle had the time of her life running on the beach and climbing the rocks and playing with the neighbour's dogs. The kids had a ball being out in nature, and could still chill upstairs with Netflix when they felt like it. I cannot stress enough how great this place is. So relaxing, peaceful, the sound of the ocean, sweet little birds right on your doorstep, looking at the moon and stars so clearly each night; this really was the most incredible stay we have ever had. 11 out of 10! Thanks so much to the website, our host Glauda, and especially to the awesome owner who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. It's so rare to find someone who actually cares so much about their guests - most places just care about the money - but Deirdre is an absolute angel who accommodated us at every turn. Everything was top notch: location in Hannas Bay, orientation (north), environment (St. Helena Bay), the house so close to the sea beach, the vegetation transition from the house to the sea beach, the view, the house's layout, furniture and equipment (especially the kitchen), cleanliness and care, everything working and correct! We needed a break from the city and this was it! Firstly the customer service from Deirdre as well as Glauda was great! The house has a nice amount of space which runs into a beautiful water wise garden and extending into the ocean. The view is amazing. Its relaxing, peaceful and quiet. Long walks on the beach and beautiful sunsets! Pica Pizza next to the Spar makes great pizzas by the way! I would absolutely recommend this accommodation to family and friends. Duifieklip was a lovely place to stay, equipped with everything we could possibly need. We had fun cooking and grilling. The children loved the beach and really enjoyed the buckets and fishing nets. We spent hours on the porch looking at the sea. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and there was even DStv if we wanted to leave the view for a while. We really felt at home and would love to visit again! Thank you very much for a comfortable and beautiful place to stay for our holiday!
We were privileged to spend 11 wonderful days in your beautiful, spacious home. This was our first break to St Helena Bay and we love the area and especially your location in the bay. We are used to rental units that only provide the basic amenities and therefore we were pleasantly surprised with how you have artistically and thoughtfully furnished your vacation home to feel like a home rather than a temporary place of residence. The beautiful diverse works of art, comfortable furniture, good kitchenware and implements, lots of games, lots of lounging areas and use of the kayaks put this getaway in a completely different class. We took lovely walks in the hills and enjoyed the wonderful sea view from the verandas and garden. The creme de la creme was when quite a few whales were close enough one afternoon for us to paddle out with the kayaks for breathtaking interaction - we were at times as close as about 10 meters - a once in a lifetime experience! We'll be back! Thank you for your willingness to make this "heaven on earth" available!

Not advised for people with mobility problems. According to me, stairs are not safe, no railings on open side, but it is indeed a wonderful place, will not mind retiring there.
We really liked Duifiesklip. It's so peaceful and everyone's "batteries" were recharged. The place is perfectly furnished with everything you need. The perfect retreat for people and families who love nature and the coast. The only negative comment is that we had to be out by 9 am even though the website's rules indicate 10 am. It was a rush and things got left behind.

My daughter and I were privileged to stay at Duifieklip for 6 days. Our goal was to rest and that's what we did. The area was so quiet and peaceful. The house has a lovely location en well equipped, with absolutely everything you need to stay comfortably, even though we didn't cook at all. We just bought take-aways. The owner and ladies who helped her with cleaning/opening etc. is unbelievably friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come and relax again. Thanks a lot, Duifieklip, until we meet again!
Friendly agent with a house full of warm and cozy atmosphere. Everything you need is there. We were even able to bake a cake soon! The beautiful garden with the birds and voles in front is really special. The most beautiful beach. The children had such a fantastic time!
