There are 2 bedrooms located on the top floor and the main bedroom has an extra-length, queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet, and basin. The second adjacent bedroom has 2 single beds and a separate toilet. There is a balcony with beautiful views of the mountains, and valley and across the sea to the east and west.
The separate, single-floor part of the house has 3 bedrooms and a living room, which is separated from the double-story house, which makes this one unit. The 1 bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom and the other bedrooms have 2 single beds with a separate bathroom. A third bedroom has a double bunk bed only suitable for children.
On the ground floor, there is a dining room and lounge area, a kitchen, and a scullery. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary self-catering facilities and has a fridge and a separate freezer.
The lounge has a beautiful sea view and an LED TV with a premium package DStv. Wi-Fi is available on request. The lounge walks out onto the patio with sun loungers.
There are indoor braai facilities, with wood or briquettes supplied for the first braai. The shop in Oyster Bay stocks essentials and is 250 metres from the house.
There is also an outdoor shower with warm and cold water for sandy bodies after a day at the beach, or a fisherman after a day on the rocks.

Lovely place, lovely area. Enjoyed our long walks on the beach and the quiet of the area.
The hosts at Duke's Nest were incredibly accommodating and the house had everything we needed.
The house is nice and spacious with a fantastic view of the sea, and the communication from the owner was very good and friendly. The kids had a great time playing in the unit as it was very windy during our visit. Preferably buy your groceries and drinks in another town as the store in Oyster Bay is very low on stock. The roads to Oyster Bay are passable but dirt roads, and during periods of heavy rainfall may be more difficult to pass at the river crossings.

We had an amazing stay at Duke's Nest. It is fully equipped, with more than enough space for the children. It definitely feels like home away from home.
Lovely and quiet place. House is big enough for a group of people and everything is what you need. Unfortunately, there was no shop to buy something if you forgot it, and the nearest place is about 21 km of dirt road.

Always be careful on gravel roads, especially after a lot of rain, and vehicles with high ground clearance are recommended.This home is not fenced and therefore not pet friendly.
For longer stays, guests must use the municipal rubbish bins and leave them at the roadside on Thursday mornings. It must then be brought back in once it has been emptied.
Before departure, guests must put all rubbish in the black bags and put it in the rubbish bin.
