I really enjoyed my stay at Dullstroom On the Rocks. The place was tastefully decorated and completely met my expectations. It offers excellent value for money and is the ideal destination for two or more people looking for a peaceful weekend break. The host communicated excellently and regularly, and all processes and requests were handled quickly and efficiently.
It is a very nice place for a weekend getaway. It is quiet and peaceful, but you are not cut off from the outside world.

We had a really nice stay, nice to get a little cold. Had a nice warm time by the fire in the indoor braai. Everything is comfortable in the house and everything you need is there. Thank you very much.

Dullstroom On the Rocks is in a complex. It was cozy and comfortable, especially with the constant cold and rainy weather we had. Every room has something interesting in it that catches your eye. The beds are comfortable, several fireplaces and braai areas inside the house itself. It was just nice.
Very comfortable house, cozy, but with enough space for 6 people without getting under each other's feet. We were initially a little disappointed because the house does not have a view overlooking a pond, but it is so conveniently located, only 100 m from the pond with benches if you want to sit there and not fish. Fly fishing was good and an 8 km walking route was done in the nature reserve (you can definitely walk shorter routes as well) to the lookout point. It is very well located in the town and the fireplace kept the house wonderfully warm. Some of us had to work and the study area was very comfortable, sunny and warm.

This is the owners' own house in which they sometimes stay. This means every imaginable necessity is available for use. We have been caught by a particularly cold couple of days, yet the house is not a 'cold' house and the upstairs master bedroom maintains a reasonably comfortable temperature. The double bed is very comfortable. There is a wooden stove in the living room which works very well. Enough wood is provided for a whole evening, even two if you work well. There is a lovely stoep/patio below which is enclosed with glass windows and two glass doors that give you shelter from the elements. There is a built-in braai as well as a Weber if one prefers. There are more than enough tables and chairs, as well as easy chairs. Unfortunately, the view from the patio is directly on the house in front of you, and not on the pond and field. It doesn't bother, because you have privacy after all. Just note that the garage is closed for private use. Fortunately, the driveway is wide and your vehicle can be unloaded directly in front of the patio door. Your vehicle is parked in the shade under a large tree. We had a very comfortable stay and highly recommend the house.

We were 4 adults and two teenagers, so this venue was an excellent fit for us. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances etc. The rooms smelt wonderful and were so clean. There is only one shower- which does pose a bit of a challenge that can be easily navigated. Susan was such a pleasure to deal with and we felt she was authentic in her interest in our stay- which is such a wonderful touch. Thank you for having us! This was excellent value for money and we will definitely recommend it to our friends.
The house is inviting and comfortable. Everything you need to make the stay comfortable is in the house. House is in a tranquil closed off estate on the dam. Very pretty and peacefull but at the same time central enough with access to everything that's happening in Dullstroom. We had a fantastic weekend and will definitely recommend the facility. We are a group of friends from different places and meet once a year for a weekend visit in Dullstroom. We've tried a few places but would definitely call this one our favorite. Very cozy with enough facilities for everyone. Kitchen is big enough for everyone to be part of the cooking process while the fire burns nicely. We would definitely recommend On the Rocks.

On the Rocks is a lovely neat house in a tranquil closed off estate. It had all the comforts we required. Very peaceful environment with lovely walks up the mountain and places to hike. It's very central with easy access to everything that's happening in Dullstroom.

The place was comfortable and well located, but very outdated. It could do with a bit of redoing, even if it's just new white bedding etc. a new bath mat in the upstairs bathroom! It feels like you're visiting people's homes and it's not an invitation.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful time - our accommodation was cosy, very comfortable and safe. The house was like our own home for the weekend. Susan also thought of everything we needed to make our weekend pleasant and comfortable, including during our arrival and departure with arrangements. I would 110% recommend and stay there again anytime.

Positive part - We were there with children and grandchild, had a great stay and the house is beautiful and well equipped in a nice complex and immediate surroundings. There really was nothing more we could have asked for. A delicious fireplace made with the cold we experienced. Porch visit area is like a sunroom, lovely, with a built-in braai Negative part - It was very cold and so the living area and rooms were cold. No heaters in the house, no electric blankets, so we slept cold. The braai in the upper part of the stoep area is terribly low so sitting and braai was the order of the day. The stoep room is full of small tables with chairs which make it terribly full and almost no room to move. The one armchair on the porch frame on one side is loose, so it is difficult to trust the chair. No curtains in the rooms, only blinds that are too short. For the price one would have expected a little more in terms of finish. House is beautifully furnished and the negative items are small and can be sorted out should this be important to the owners. Fantastic weekend, nice stay.
We were 2 couples escaping the city for a weekend of good conversation, fire and wine! On the Rocks is the perfect spot for a weekend retreat. It has all the amenities you could ask for and has been well kept. Safety is no issue as it is in a secure estate on the dam, very pretty.
We really enjoyed it and had a great time. Will definitely go again.
