We stayed for one night as we were attending an evening function in the area. We were welcomed by the host, who was most helpful in explaining the layout and where we could have breakfast the next morning if we wished. The room, Lily, was comfortable and we were happy to have a free-standing shower. We did return from our dinner out quite late, and our only complaint would be that the signage on the road is not easy to see in the dark so we missed the entrance and had to turn around.
Very nice place. We had a guest room and a self-catering place (booked late). Both were great. The veranda is a great spot for a sundowner. The restaurant is a bit of a letdown. Plenty to do for kids, but no alternative power when the power goes off. No other guests were eating there, which is never a great sign. It is not a classic wine farm restaurant.
It's a beautiful farm. The rooms are old horse stables that have been extremely stylishly converted into luxury rooms with all the necessities one could possibly need.
Beautiful place! We had a very nice stay. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Received excellent service as well from the restaurant, our dinner was delivered to our room. (For the price you can perhaps include a small breakfast.)

We really enjoyed our visit. The area is beautiful, the place was perfect for me and my wife. We will definitely visit again.
Everything was lovely and positive from the moment we got there. So nice swimming in the pool with a view over the wine fields. Suggestions - there wasn't a full length mirror in the unit and it wasn't communicated to us that the restaurant wasn't going to be open that night for dinner, so we had to drive into town and find a place.

The facilities are all fantastic. Everything was very calming and relaxing. Great bed, bath and Jacuzzi! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
We booked the Guava Cottage for a short weekend getaway from the city. We were 4 adults and 1 child. The Guava Cottage is kitted beyond expectation. One can easily buy only a few groceries and feel right at home. It has a great outside braai, and a private pool with a lot of space to relax. The access to a honesty cellar was a great touch - an assortment of Dunstone wines to drink just in case you did not pack in (or packed enough). They even sponsored one; we payed for the rest. Although the restaurant was a stone's throw away, we never felt that it infringed on our privacy. Also, it was so convenient to pop over for a breakfast. Our child absolutely loved the play area! And as you walk on the property, there are goats, pigs and horses to entertain the inquisitive. We loved the fact that it was isolated within the valley. Great for the mountain biking enthusiast, or the grape connoisseur. Abbi's communications was amazing. Even though we did not meet in person, she was always a phone/email away. Thanks so much!

We were in the Lavender Room, beautifully clean and truly value for money. Our family was in the Guava Cottage and that was good value for money too. I was really impressed with the location, scenery and layout of the estate. The staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort and to make us feel at home. The food was of outstanding quality and I would definitely recommend this accommodation to a family (the cottage) or couple who just want to take a break and get a breath of fresh air. Dunstone is great value for money. The delicious breakfast already makes it worth it! The restaurant, Stone Kitchen, is great. Divine food and so affordable it's like eating in a time capsule from 10 years ago. A bottle of wine for R100? Unbelievable! Dunstone is top notch.
