"E’Bay Appartments are a budget, but a “mixed-bag” experience."

E’Bay Appartments were a mixed bag experience. It is easy to reach, but situated at the far end of Elands Baai. . The bedrooms were right up against the Sishen – Saldanha manganese railway line. There were not many trains per day, but the ones coming by (all day and night) by are extremely long and take forever to pass at a reasonable racket. The apartment is clearly from the 60’s, though painted and mostly clean. The exception is the bathroom floor of uneven small black tiles that can not be kept clean. Need to be replaced. . It was the only SC apartment I have rented this year (and we stayed in about 20 + this year) which does not supply towels and dish washing items. And the owner is proud of it, though related after pointing out that at 18h00 in the evening there is no way that we could go and buy towels in E’Bay, as non are being sold in his shops. Urgent need to update that as a permanent service. . The kitchen / dining room part of the lounge is well-appointed, and everything work well. As was the equipping of the lounge and the TV. . The beds were the main complaint for us. The mattresses were too hard, we had back pain and had to use other bedding in the apartment to soften the mattresses a bit. Overall a useful accommodation, which needs modernisation and an improvement of services.

There was no access to the internet, although we got a password, the WiFi could not reach unit 1. The pictures advertised were a bit deceiving, nothing was shown and mentioned that you were going to have to look up against a creeper when you exited the unit, and it was right next to the train tracks, so it was disturbing.

The only problem we had was that the ad says to bring our own towels but does not mention cleaning things for the kitchen there is not even a dishcloth so we had to buy all that. The other thing is we had loud party neighbours that did not abide by the rules of 10:00 music soft and on top of that there is a constant train running and the place is next to train rail. No sleep was gotten but its a lovely place and we did explore a lot.

The fridge didn't work properly and had to throw food away, a bigger fridge would do and please tell people to bring mosquito repellant.

The units really have everything one needs at an affordable price. Everything is within walking distance and unless you want to explore the west coast or the caves you don't have to get back into your vehicle before leaving. We will definitely vacation there again.

Highly recommended! Accommodation is central, walking distance to the beach, safe and very quiet neighbourhood and very neat. Service was excellent, as usual. Accommodation is very convenient. That's why we always come back to E'bay Apartments.

I would recommend this accommodation anytime, because it's immaculately clean, you don't need anything more. It's walking distance to shops, hotels, and the sea. Parking a bit small for everyone who will be staying with more than 1 vehicle per apartment, but we all made a plan together.

We were 4 families staying at E'bay Apartments, of which 3 families were from the Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and value for money. Annelie, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The chalets were very clean and of good quality and everything, from the bedding to the crockery, was of good quality. Annelie's reception was also very warm and she and her family made us feel very welcome and at home. Annelie never made us feel uncomfortable during our visit, and she trusted us fully. It made us feel very good and the rest of our family was very impressed with the reception and treatment of E'bay Apartments owners. According to our family, they will definitely return to Elandsbaai and especially stay at E'bay Apartments. Thank you for excellent, great service. We are 100% satisfied and will definitely use the service again.

All I would suggest is that the owner lay down some clear rules. The group that stayed next to us threw up on our front porch. They were quite noisy, and we only got out during the day and at night. A good rule would be no music after 22:00 at night and no music from cars. Furthermore, I had a great time in a fantastic village.

I will always book the same cottages, because they are quiet and very clean. The owner just needs to make sure that there is always someone available if the power goes out, for example, because we struggled for almost an hour to get hold of him. It's walking distance to the shops, as well as the sea, very friendly people.

The place is practical and conforms to a cottage away from home. Unfortunately, I was not prepared for the trains that run 20 meters past the bedroom at odd hours!

It's only about 20 m from the train track with about 6 trains with 100 trucks, every 2 hours, that pass every night. There is no man who can close an eye. The many trains drive you crazy at night.

Neat and everything needed is available. TV can be replaced. Very disturbing, however, is the iron ore train that passes almost opposite the chalets and at any time of the day, several times a day.
