Boesmanskloof Eagle's Nest is tightly nestled in the heart of the Riviersonderend mountains, between the twin villages of Greyton and McGregor, on a road referred to as “The Road To Nowher”. This double-story, stone house catches the eye, and is aptly named.

This self-catering house accommodates 8 adults and 6 children, boasting 3 double bedrooms, each with a double bed, a single bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. The downstairs bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds and offers an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet. Each room is named after an African eagle and includes linen and towels but guests are required to provide their own swimming towels. The rooms are situated on the upper floor of the house with access to a balcony offering breathtaking views of the gorge.

There is a large family kitchen with a wooden table fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, and other cooking facilities, as well as a fridge, microwave, stove, and toaster.

Upon entering Eagle's Nest, guests' eyes wander to the glass sliding door leading to a beautiful wooden deck overlooking the Gobos River. A dining table seating 12 ensures enjoyable lengthy gatherings. There is also an indoor braai area and a swimming pool adjacent to the braai.

Limited cellphone reception is available, and guests may need to move around the property to get signal. However, there is a Vodacom tower nearby.

With each visit, guests will discover that the area has changed as the fynbos varies with the seasons. The renowned Boesmanskloof hiking route and the mysterious Die Galg pass are right on the doorstep of this stone house, with all hikers of this route passing by.
