6 guests' feedbackWe were delighted with Eagles Nest and to finally spot it up on the cliff after a very hot hike from Greyton. All very worthwhile. Bernado was wonderfully accommodating host who helped tremendously to get our food and non-hikers to the accommodation. Very comfortable but with a few issues that we raised with Bernado.
I have no words to describe what a fantastic experience it was for us. The natural beauty is truly something to experience. This is the type of place where you should come and pack up not just for a weekend, but at least a week. Definitely a destination for nature lovers. We would love to visit again.
It was deliciously cold, but the house and surroundings made it even more special for a cozy family outing and celebration. Here and there there are maintenance issues, but this did not detract from our experience of the wonderful environment. We will definitely come again.
The house is beautifully placed on the edge of a deep gorge, with running water and rock pools below. The house is fully equipped and a good example of how a self-catering house should be. It was too cold to walk much (winter) but you can just "chill out" indoors.
We happened to come across Eagle's Nest by accident on LekkeSlaap. What an experience! The surroundings are beautiful. Japie made us feel at home and Bernardo came to check every day whether or not we were satisfied and happy. A cold front hit and we had a bit of snow. Japie ensured that we had enough wood and we made a wonderful fire every night. There is no TV, but we had such a nice time and built up our family bonds again so much that we didn't need a TV. If you haven't yet been in that area, do yourself and your family a favour and VISIT EAGLE'S NEST. If anyone had to ask me how it was I would have to tell them to check it out for themselves because words fail me. We found tracks on one of our walking trails and just hope it wasn't a leopard. I will definitely go again. And I will take other family with!
