Neat and at native forest with associated vegetation and birds. It's already worth doing here. Allan and Hester very hospitable and helpful. Delicious dinner with wine and nice time with them in the dining room. About 12 km out of Stutterheim on a pretty awful tar and dirt road that passes right by an informal settlement, but once you're at the guest house, everything is neat and available and the native forest is only a few hundred yards away. Area safe and accessible.
Nice distance out of town for total peace and quiet. Very pleasant owners, who were very helpful and catered for any needs if required.
The place is perfectly located and can be a really nice place to stay, but there is no neat maintance outside of doing well. Place looks neglected. Upon arrival, one feels confused as to whether the services are available, such as whether one can eat there or not. Not being well informed at all, when a problem is raised it is difficult to get hold of the right people.
Not the same as on the internet. No pool. Owner and staff very friendy and we had a good chat. Delicious food. Accommodation is in a rondavel. Everything was very clean but the property is neglected. We were there in winter and the electric blankets kept us warm. Hot water was an issue. Felt safe. Forestry area and very beautiful. If you like quietness and no luxury I recommend 2 nights. The you can drive to East London during the day. Also recommended in summer. Was very dry in winter so you cannot appreciate the beauty so much.
Had a very pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend them.
