We have stayed here a few times. It's great affordable accommodation on the beach. My 2 small dogs children are welcome and they just run to the beach. Everything you need is there and the owners are very helpful and on site.

The location, the size of apartment was a pleasant surprise. The visit on the stoep for a braai, and to be able to enjoy the sea view, was disappointing, it is so wooded, it is not about the wood around the apartment, but the height of the wood, certain trees, that you don't have a view Feel that it can be worked on regularly trimming it to be able to have a better view. Maybe write down the WiFi code in the apartment, only receive the code a day before we leave, if I didn't ask for it either, and of course not the 18 channels as mentioned, had a lot of trouble with it. But I like Jeffreys and at least kept me busy with reading and dotting when we couldn't watch TV.

If they say on the sea then it really is on the sea, less than 100 m until you step on the sand. Breathtaking view from all sides and the nice braai place. Well furnished with everything you need and plenty of sleeping space. Johan and Sandra are wonderful hosts and stopped by often to make sure everything was OK. We enjoyed the break so much. Thank you very much.

WiFi was advertised but didn't have, false advertisement regarding WiFi. Covered or shaded parking could have been a plus.

It's a nice apartment overlooking the sea, we had a great time. We did realize that an extra window or 2 would be very welcome. But nothing we didn't already know ahead of time. So there is no negative feedback. The unit we had I would suggest is for parents and children, does not offer privacy for e.g. friends who have to sleep in the front house, but we also knew that in advance. And still so preferred, seeing that it overlooks the sea.

"No value for your money!"

I was very disappointed in our apartment. Out of the 6 beds in the apartment, only the double bed in the bedroom had bedding. This bed's duvet was not even on the bed either and was simply rolled up and placed on top of one of the other single beds. The cutlery and crockery was very disappointing. Few of the cutlery fit together and were already marked. There were also only 3 coffee cups that fit together and the rest were just old cups that you can just see came from the owners' house. The apartment can sleep 7 people, but the cutlery and crockery are too few to accommodate that many people. The air conditioning in the master bedroom was out of order and we were told "to just open the windows". Thank goodness for the fan we took with us, otherwise the heat and stuffiness would have killed us. Although the apartment has a stunning view of the sea, we had to walk outside around the yard on a large lawn to our car when the apartment had 2 tenants. There is no light on the outside of the yard and with luggage it is a long way to walk. Our car also had to be parked outside in the owners' driveway with no canopy or security gate. I would not recommend this apartment to people who want value for money.

We have never been to the Eastern Cape and were a little scared, but when we first arrived at Eagles Wings, we forgot how scared we were. We were welcomed with open arms and felt part of the family. What an amazing location right by the beach. In the morning the waves of the sea wake you up. Stunning view of the sea and how lucky we were to experience a full moon on the sea in the evening. The owners are very pleasant and I can highly recommend the place.

Uncle Johan and Aunt Sandrah make you feel as if they have known you for years, they chat too well with the guests, almost as if you are part of a family. It is safe, neat and clean. One comes back to Gauteng with a heavy heart after being enchanted with the J-Bay location. We will definitely go to Eagles Wings again. I recommend Eagles Wings to anyone, any time of the year.

We were kindly received by the Eagles Wings' owners, felt like family. We were happy from the start. The location is definitely the best, on the swimming beach with lifeguards during the holiday season. Like having your own piece of beach at your front door. Will definitely stay there again.

The apartment is fully equipped with everything for a self-catering unit and we had a great stay!

Upon arrival we had difficulty identifying the reception area where we had to report. Also no indication of a bell that we could ring. Thanks to the agent's SMS with the place's phone number, we were fortunately able to call and were helped soon after. The apartment layout was very cute with a private entrance. The sea view was fantastic! We liked the wild vegetable garden by our bedroom window and the rich bird life in the area. The dog was also very friendly and loving. There is sufficient lighting in the evening to reach the door safely. Just watch out for the hole right before the step of the lower gate, you can get hurt there very easily if you're not careful. Lighting at the front gate might help here. The bathroom was adequate and clean. Unfortunately, the little room was connected to the main house with a door and you smelled cigarette smoke the moment you walked in. Also later in the day after we went out and came back the cigarette smoke smell in the room was overwhelming, even for my boyfriend who is a smoker. We had to leave the door and all the windows open to ventilate. My asthma flared up during my stay here because I am allergic to cigarette smoke. The coffee cups were dirty when we wanted to make coffee, but dish soap and wash cloth were available and problem quickly addressed. The boiler was also broken, but was immediately replaced with a working one when we reported it. Rooibos tea was also provided on request. The one coffee cup had a crack in it which caused the coffee to leak onto the bedside table. The single bed's duvet was in the cupboard and only the cover was on the bed, not over the duvet. The double bed's bedside light was not plugged in (two point plug), because the previous guest took it out from behind the bed to charge their mobile phone. It was very difficult to get the light plugged back in behind the bed. The curtain's stop was not on the arrangement, so the curtain ran off the arrangement when we pulled the curtain open. The bed slept well if you like a harder bed. Our walks on the beach every morning were wonderful and the location of the place is such that you can easily reach the sea with the garden path down to the beach. It is a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing environment. No noise nearby. Despite the little foxes that need some attention (attention to detail) I would still recommend the apartment to holidaymakers, because the stay was otherwise very acceptable.
