Ebenezer is 'n fantastiese, rustige, veilige en netjiese plek, 'n regte "hidden gem". Eienaar baie vriendelik, behulpsaam en ons het lekker gekuier. Dankie Oom Wikus dat ons kon deel in die pragtige blyplek wat Oom so mooi in stand hou. Die staproete deur die proteas en die lekker heuning wat ons kon koop, en die wakker word van slegs voëlgesang sal ons definitief gou weer terug lok.

Ebenezer Country Lodge is the ideal getaway spot to just rest or explore the area. It is safe, has a helpful host and the nature is beautiful.
The owner received me warmly and showed me how everything works. I was participating in a sporting event in the area and the owner was happy for me to return after the event for a shower before my return journey.
Really accommodating hosts who give excellent service. A beautiful place to spend a few nights. They just forgot to clean our bathroom. Our friends next door had a clean bathroom but we think they just forgot ours. This is the reason we rated only a 3 on cleanliness. Otherwise very happy! Would stay there again.
We were kindly received. The room is spacious and tidy. The on-site standby generator creates a welcome solution to bridging load shedding. We can definitely recommend Ebenezer Country Lodge for families with children.

The unit was clean and tidy with all the necessary facilities. Will definitely book a break like this again. Very safe and enough security.

We barbecued in the evening and walked on the farm among the proteas and took pictures, it was very relaxing, we also took day trips, canopy tour and horse riding. We enjoyed it very much!

We were treated like royalty by the owners. Nothing was too much. I was in Rustenburg from Durban, to compete in The South African Performing Arts Championships, and needed peace and quiet. Ebenezer was all of this and more. The views of the mountains and scenery, the lush, well-kept gardens, everything was just perfect. The birdlife is out of this world, as was the star-watching at night. I can highly recommend this beautiful peace of paradise.
The farm is wonderfully beautiful and well cared for. The owners of the farm are genuine, down-to-earth people who definitely have a talent for looking after the farm in the best quality. You will definitely get a good rest at this beautiful and private destination.

The unit was spacious, even the bathroom. Each unit has a security gate in front of the sliding door that makes you feel at ease (like us Gautengers prefer!). It is an ideal place for self catering as all the necessary facilities are there. Even your own Weber. Views from the units are stunning. The unit itself is very clean and tidy. The owners are very friendly. Friends of mine who were not happy with the place where they were at first approached them for other places. They were welcomed with open arms and helped.
Ebenezer Country Lodge is perfectly situated within the Rustenburg mountains, with beautiful gardens and access to the larger property for a mini morning hike. The accommodation is comfortable, private and well equipped. It is definitely great value for money.

It's our 2nd time and will always go back. The Van der Merwe's go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. Peaceful, undisturbed accommodation with a good view of the landscape. It is a place to get away from the daily hustle and bustle and where guests can relax on their own.
Value for money if you're willing stay 15 km from Rustenburg's town centre. Neat gardens and units. Fresh night air with quietness. Mosquitoes are a problem at night, which can be prevented with sifts in front of the windows.
The unit was accessible. Although attention can be paid to a thorough cleaning, the resort and unit is clean. Big lawns and 2 patios at the unit makes it very convenient. It was valuable too be able to take our dog with.
The apartment was dirty. The toilet leaked, at least it was fixed immediately. The cupboards inside were dirty could not unpack my things. The pool was dirty.

The room was well equipped and clean. Wikus and Magdalena were very hospitable and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and accommodate us. The environment is peaceful and quiet, with beautiful scenery. The large lawn was a favorite among the children!

Ebenezer is about 25 km outside of Rustenburg on a farm. The chalet is well equipped for self-catering with a complete bathroom, patio, braai en kitchen, everything you need. The reception was friendly and the owners went out of their way to facilitate a very early departure. Good value for money.

We were greeted warmly and immediately taken to our room. It's beautiful and neat and definitely worth a peaceful weekend out of the city.
I enjoyed the peace at Ebenezer and owners were very friendly and helpful. I will return there with my husband alone to rest, as the environment is stress-free. The kids however were frustrated that we had no TV and bad cellphone connection and no WiFi available, however they could play on the beautiful green grass and swim in the pool and took a hike to the top hill.
Some goodies! Will have to put in new mattresses! Water only disappears after one person has showered and then ice cold! Furthermore, we had a great time!

We were warmly received upon our arrival and immediately taken to our unit. The unit was nice and clean. Ebenezer Country Lodge has the most beautiful gardens and my children went swimming straight away. We had a nice barbecue and also went for a walk on the farm to the top of the hill. The view is beautiful. We will be back - nice place for a short break.

Would just recommend that they add a table to eat at and more crockery than just 2 of each crockery (knives, forks, plates, etc).

Beautiful place with beautiful views, but there was something around the roof. Mice or cats who kept you out of sleep a bit, but otherwise it was okay.
I can't complain about the bedding because apart from a sheet, two dirty and stained pillows and a blanket there is no other bedding on the beds. The towels, linen and outside pillows are old, stained and look dirty. The unit was not properly cleaned and on the second visit (as we paid in advance) we brought our own towels instead as the unit's towels are old and appear dirty. The mattress on the double bed is so hard, no one can sleep on it. The cupboards and drawers are dirty inside and the kitchenware defective and messed up. The unit needs repair and painting. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the unit. It is relatively cheap, but at least one expects clean and complete towels and linen.
Very friendly reception by Wicus and Magdalena which made us feel instantly at home. The premises is beautiful and we could walk around and explore to our hearts' content. All one hears is nature. The room was clean and neat. The kitchen had all the necessities for our stay. It is close to all the attractions we wanted to visit, so the location is ideal. Safety in and around our unit was provided. We slept soundly and will definitely stay here again!

We travelled from Sun City the Saturday afternoon to Ebenezer Country Lodge. Upon our arrival we experienced a very big thunderstorm. Despite the heavy rain our host took us to the unit and made sure that we were safe. Everything was very neat and clean. The only problem that we experienced was the bed light's chord that shocked my wife a little. Otherwise everything else was worth while.
A lovely getaway close to JHB which has the Pilanesberg and Sun City within reasonable driving distance. Also Hartbeespoort is within comfortable driving distance. The place is surrounded by beauty and totally a relaxed environment for a long weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The atmosphere ate Ebenezer Country Lodge is that of peaceful, leisure, tranquility and nature.
It's nice and quiet at Ebenezer Country Lodge. The owners are friendly. The unit we stayed in was big enough for the 3 of us, but if a larger family were to go it would be a bit tight. Although there was no TV available, we got a chance to have a nice chat. The view and garden are breathtaking!

A very beautiful and peaceful place between the mountains with large lawns to play on and a nice swimming pool. Wickus was also very hospitable and the facilities are exactly what we lacked.

I would recommend anyone to relax at Ebenezer. The scenery is breathtaking and there are many birds to be heard and seen. There is a small nursery and also many protea trees. The people are friendly and helpful and the cottages are well equipped and tidy. The dogs running around there also create a homely atmosphere. The grounds are spacious and yield several surprises such as entertainment areas and also a swimming pool.
We stayed for 3 nights and loved every moment of it!! Big bonus was that our 3 dogs were welcome as well! People were warm and friendly, accommodation was perfect, the gardens were to die for!! We went for 2 runs on the farm with our dogs, and played on the beautiful manicured lawns with them.... a real family-weekend-away! Will definitely go back!

The accommodation was very neat and completely adequate. Clean towels and blankets were also made available to us. I would advise that coffee, sugar and tea are provided, especially if you are only staying one night and don't want to take your own food with you, seeing that the nearest shop is a good half hour's drive away. It was very nice with fantastic gardens and lawns.
