There are 3 separate, self-catering, eco suites that can accommodate up to 4 guests in each. Each Eco suite comprises 2 bedrooms furnished with a king-size bed and the remaining bedroom featuring 2 single beds. These beds can also be converted on request. Each bathroom is fitted with a shower and toilet and a private outdoor shower overlooking the mountains and also features a patio.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, fridge, gas stove, crockery and cutlery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Other amenities include Wi-Fi and a swimming pool with a view of the endless plains of the Karoo.

From the information email I received a week before my travels to the end of my stay at Eco Karoo Lodge was outstanding. The host was great and made the experience an absolute treat, from the hiking trails during the day to a lesson in astronomy when the stars came out. I was the only guest at the time and never felt forgotten or smothered. Truly a memorable stay and will be visiting again for a longer time, as there was so much I didn't manage to see and do. 5 ️.

After a very long day from Witsand and then taking the wrong turn in Philipolis (don't drive that way) we arrived at Eco Karoo Mountain Lodge. Sydney was incredibly helpful, showing us around the unit, the common areas and explaining everything. He even took our bags to the room and cleaned them nicely of all the dust. Incredibly good time. Air conditioners are something they should think about. We got very hot in the rooms all night.
Indoor shower floor just smooth, maybe just get rubber mats. We would love to stay there again. Scenic. Units are very neat and clean.

Relaxing, beautiful surroundings. Maybe just remind people to bring money to pay for wood.
The dirt road was in a bad condition, especially where car gates' cement pieces fall out and also where pipes partly stick out from under the road and also have holes in them. Repair please where necessary. In the dark, people can crash or get stuck with a regular vehicle. However, with a 4x4 you won't have any problems.
What a gem! The "lodge" is exceptional - the building style forms part of nature and so much attention has been paid to detail. The linen and beds are very good quality and the kitchen is well equipped. All the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The lanterns in the evening were very special. Alfred, the personal "butler" lit the fire and washed the dishes (pure pampering). Highly recommended!
Beautiful lodge with everything you need and then the beautiful Karoo. Plains, mountains and silence. Beautiful rooms, shared kitchen and lounge working and furnished for the time in the upper Karoo.
The Karoo Lodge is ideal for just a quick getaway. There is a swimming pool and 2 or 3 hiking trails, but otherwise it is remote. Very nice and neat.
Eco Karoo Mountain Lodge can be a teacher to others. They are great!
We brought our two dogs with us, a golden retriever and chocolate lab. Was safe for the dogs and they enjoy hopping around in the beauty of nature. One of my favorite places ever! Thank you very much.

Eco Karoo Lodge is a picturesque place near the small town of Luckhoff. I wouldn't recommend just you and your husband or wife go here, but a group of people, because you have to share a braai area and kitchen with the other guests. You can get lucky and find nice people to stay with you, but unfortunately we had other guests that we had a very bad experience with. It unfortunately spoils one's holiday. We didn't enjoy it and it's very expensive, especially since you don't have privacy. I would recommend that each cottage gets its own small kitchen and private braai area to avoid these situations. The water from the shower also runs into your room and then the whole floor is wet. Overall our experience was not good.
We will definitely go again, as expected if not better than expected.
We couldn't get enough of the beautiful surroundings with the picture-perfect sunrise. Less is more! Everything was perfect from our sleep to the early morning cup of coffee.
We really enjoyed our stay at Eco Karoo Mountain Lodge. The trip seemed too far from Jhb for a 3 night trip but it turned out to be a very easy journey. Wonderful landscape with not much to do except relax and enjoy intimate family time. Exactly how we like it, out of the city and time to decompress in a magnificent setting! The area is perfect for nature walks, hiking, and mountain biking. Rooms are very comfortable and the open cooking/kitchen/dining areas are all you need to make your self catering stay a luxurious one. We would highly recommend Eco Karoo Mountain Lodge.
Alfred had been so helpful. Was there in stormy weather and he went out of his way to accommodate us when lightning knocked out our cottage's power. Would have liked it if there was an indoor BBQ area, but otherwise great, great, great place!
The lodge's location is so well chosen. Lovely view from all the rooms. We really enjoyed the feeling of living outside and the lapa was a touching experience under the starry sky. Early in the morning you can enter the field and go for a lovely walk. The silence (only interrupted by the lowing of cattle) is a relief for the soul. The cattle everywhere in the field have a charm of their own. The description of the rooms with each room having its own bathroom is misleading. Each room does not have its own bathroom, two rooms in each cottage share a bathroom. In addition, the one room only has a gabion that separates it from the bathroom which does not ensure sufficient privacy. The reception was out of the books, our host was so friendly and helpful.

Wow, what a great experience. The silence speaks to you, the stars are breathtaking and the finish and unique layout and design ensure a great experience. I actually want to keep the one a secret and not see other people there but that would be unfair. Grab some pals and book the whole place out. We go. Get ready, you're going to stay longer than you plan!
