Conveniently close to OR Tambo airport. Shopping center very close. Clean bedding. Friendly, helpful staff.
Thank you very much for the friendly reception and the nice bed for a beautiful body. I'm staying there for work for a whole week. One suggestion is to provide a small bar fridge.
Can there be bar fridges in the rooms to keep our beverages, please? Otherwise, everything was great.
Friendly welcome from the staff on duty. The staff were very polite and helpful. Not a very good neighbourhood where it is situated, but very good security measures are in place. We felt safe. Well situated, only a 10min Uber drive to OR Tambo.
We had a nice stay. Which was not pleasant. At 4:00 in the morning the night staff at reception play their music so loud on their phone that it echoes into your room and wakes us up. The music is also not turned down when you talk to the lady to book out. It feels to me like there is a lack of attention because it creates a bad image.
Very basic accommodation that would be sufficient for a quick overnight stay or short layover between flights. The condition of the bedside lamp's wiring was a little worrying, and there were small stains on some of the bedding. There was no remote control for the television, also no fan or heater inside the room as advertised. Price is low for so close to the airport; you get what you pay for, but there were also other options within the price slot that offered more. The receptionists were very nice and very helpful, which greatly improved our short stay.
Room very small no coffee facilities no fridge in the room.
For the amount per night one cannot expect 5-star, but for a quick overnight it was perfect.
No complimentary soaps in the room, unable to wash. Towels were so old and thin that they were frayed with holes. Limited access to clean drinking water. The dispensing machine at reception was broken and used as a manual fridge. Unable to purchase water on the second day due to no stock.
Seeing as I was only staying overnight, the facility was adequate. However, the other guests near my room were very noisy until very late in the evening. Check-in took a long time because I paid and the reception couldn't track the payment according to their records. Receptionist was fast asleep at 04:45 which caused discomfort to book out.
The rooms unfortunately smelled terribly of smoke and the neighbors made noise and clapped their hands for up to 2 hours. It is ideal for a quick overnight stay with few amenities.
I would not recommend Ecotel at all. Looks pretty neat from the outside, but bad inside. Plaster peels off the walls, all outdated and shabby. The bed's mattress was probably 20 years old and you roll to the middle. Environment not nice either.
It was incredibly noisy with the other guests making noise and shouting until 12 o'clock in the evening. If you've been on a plane for 2 days, you want to rest.
It would only help a lot if the rooms were provided with 2 glasses and coffee for the next morning.
It was neat. Friendly reception, even though it was late in the evening. Only the dinner, which I assume was fish, made the whole hotel stink.
I enjoyed my time there. Will want to go again.
As a loner for the particular period, I enjoyed the tranquility. The staff was friendly. The logs display neatly and securely. Will use the accommodation again.
Asked for a room with a bath, got a room with a shower.
