The best experience ever, though the weather wasn't on our side. But I enjoyed my stay.
Short of breakfast, no WiFi, no microwave to warm food, no fridge, but it's okay for 3 people.
We had to ask for a room with an air conditioner because the one we got didn't even have a fan. The TV had no remote control and no channels were tuned. And no DSTV as advertised. The toilet bowl was broken and moving around, and the sink faucet was clogged. Only one coffee cup in a room for 2. No emergency power generator during load shedding. Very friendly staff.
It was okay. Just the television had no remote control. No WiFi and there is no Smart TV.
My friend and I arrived at the venue with limited time because we had a concert to attend. We were greeted by two ladies at reception. It took them about 45 minutes to log on to their system. They also said that they were fully booked and that they had neglected to notify agencies that they were booked. As a client, those were things I did not need to hear. No matter how many times I gave them my surname, when they eventually logged on to their system, they were having trouble finding my name. Overall I was not happy with their service and ended up getting a double bed instead of a twin set and we were so late for our concert.
The bed was concaved and uncomfortable, kept on gravitating to the center of the bed.
The accommodation was good and tidy, but at reception it is clearly emphasized "respect other guests and no noise". Parties made noise until 3 in the morning. I went to speak to reception but nothing was done about it. It wasn't until the manager heard us that they were going to get a bad review that something was done. There were other guests that you didn't even hear, and I think they felt the same way. But the rooms are good, even if there is not even a small fridge. Thank you.
We asked for 2 rooms next to each other to which we received an email from the place that it was ok. We were in the town early, around 10:00, went to introduce ourselves and said that we would come and check in at 2 o'clock as the time was. When we arrived, rooms were still dirty and we had to fall with our luggage over garbage, mess and dirty linen in the hallway. Two rooms as I booked were not at all as in the photos and as described, we stayed four nights. Only on night 3 did they give us the password for the Wi-Fi, shower door was broken, aircon sprayed water like a shower. Three persons in one room with only 2 coffees, plastic glasses and plastic spoons and 2 towels. We complained about the stuff and to which the answer was: "We are going to attend to it now". Bathrooms have large notice to dispose of sanitary napkins in trash provided. Laughable because there wasn't a trash can. Also no toilet spray or toilet brush. We checked out after four days and are still waiting for the reception that was supposed to come. It was the most horrible experience and it was definitely not up to standard. To pay so much money for 4 days and receive such service was disappointing to say the least. Not to mention the noise of parties, naked ladies around and in the pool so much that my kids couldn't swim. No what, Ecotel Premier Lodge we will never see again and I will not recommend the place to anyone.
Wonderful and safe. Very welcoming staff.
1) Had to inform reception TV and bedside lamp not working upon arrival. 2) No breakfast available unless party of five. 3) Unbearable noise from staff at 5:00am in the morning. 4)Towels big enough to dry a small dog. 5) Advertise Wi-Fi but only available in main building not in rooms. Pretty obvious this establishment has no attention to detail!
The guesthouse is located in a lovely area, very safe. The room we were in was a little to small for my partner and I but it's a lovely guesthouse. The pool was very inviting. Thank you.
There were no towels in the room. Service was nothing short of amazing. Not what I expected at all. Definitely wouldn't consider it one of the site's locations.
The rooms can be fitted with bar fridges.The receptionist was very unfriendly. The braai area can be upgraded because we pay R150 to use it and it's in a poor pathetic state. Proper braai utensils must be supplied from Ecotel.
Thank you for the hospitality, great service and clean comfortable rooms. We had a lovely stay until the the drunken guests booked in Saturday and started partying, screaming until 02h30 in the morning. You really need to get these guests under control, bottles in the pool the next morning, weaves lying around, Grandpa powder papers everywhere and when we checked out on Sunday morning they were lying fast asleep in their rooms, go figure. Otherwise 5 star service - thanks!
For 3 nights there was no hot water. Night 3 there was no water and no electricity. The breakfast is also not value for money. The rooms and surroundings are indeed in excellent condition and very clean.
The reception was not very friendly. Key in hand stuffed and told it's on the top floor. No directions. Didn't say how entry/exit works. We had to work it out ourselves. Rooms were clean and tidy, but maintenance seems to be neglected. Other guests made noise throughout the night on the porches and in the room next door. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

It was an incredibly nice experience, the people were so nice and really good to us.
All we needed was one affordable night with clean, white linen, coffee and tea in the room, close to Oliver Tambo Airport. We got what we hoped for and would recommend them to people with similar needs.
Stay was fine. Only negative was that other guests were drinking that night and they were very noisy.
The accommodation was neat and sufficient for 1 night's stay, but unfortunately there were guests who did not pay attention to rules. There were guests visiting the pool and they were noisy until after 12 o'clock at night. I had to call the reception several times to get them to shut up, but that didn't even help.
The welcome staff was not very friendly. We were taken to a room but the person didn't even make sure we knew how the keys worked. (The card locks don't work and the doors open at a funny angle - not at all like normal front doors.) The A/C was set to 32 degrees - hopelessly hot. The one window in the bathroom could not close properly which caused a cold draft in the room. There were 2 coffee mugs but only 1 glass in a room for 2 people. The hanging closet is extremely small and not big enough for 2 people's clothes, especially because the blankets are also stored there and take up space. There was no soap or shampoo - something that a lodge/hotel usually provides in small quantities. Hand soap only. There was no extra toilet paper - you have to wait for room service. The duvet was also not properly made up. We had to put it further into the cover ourselves as it hung out. Everything was reported to the day staff. We booked in late at night and the lights on the side of the stairs leading to the second floor were not working. This can make it difficult for people who have trouble seeing where to walk at night. The location is good and close to nice restaurants.
Our biggest problem was 3 rooms of unruly, loud, and inconsiderate guests, making noise past 1:30 am and then again at 6:30 am. Despite our reporting of them the noise continued. The apartments needed some handyman attention: Toweling rack was loose and fell off. Basin tap sprayed out at the slightest opening thereof, drain pipe under basin leaking profusely, underneath of toilet seat was disintegrating, no handles on sliding door to bathroom. When we arrived back at midnight after a night out, the gate was wide open - anyone could have walked in!

Love the place very much. Neat and calm.
No kettle and cups in the room. Had to pay for cup of tea which I enjoy lastly at night and first in the morning. Also had to pay for breakfast. Otherwise, its beautiful.
Ecotel is affordable, clean and safe. I recommend adding coffee-making facilities so guests can prepare a cuppa while they get ready for breakfast.
