20 guests' feedbackThe staff members were super friendly. The sunset views were beautiful from the balcony. We loved the location, the safety of the area, and the fact that the beach is a stone's throw away from the accommodation. Loved the breakfast and everything about our stay.

Would have liked a kettle in my room but the hospitality and cleanliness definitely made up for it. The excellent breakfast every morning was a winner.
We reserved a room online which advertised WiFi, a hairdryer and TV. Upon checking in, we noted that the room did not have WiFi, no hairdryer and the TV was not working. The bathroom was missing tiles (it was being worked on) and the light to the bathroom is in the hallway (need to exit the room to get to the bathroom light switch). We were informed verbally that breakfast is served from 7 - 10am. Upon ariving for breakfast the next morning, we were notified that breakfast is no longer being served, due to a sign in the room that noted that the time for breakfast is from 7 - 9am. This was at 9:01am! Upon disagreeing, we were served breakfast. We then noticed that the toilet is blocked and requested to be moved to another room. Upon return from our outing for the day we were moved to another room, but the air conditioner was switched off. We were unable to find any staff on the premises to bring this to their attention and decided to rather book out and find another place to stay. I found some of the staff on site to be unprofessional, and it is such a pity because Melkbos is a magical place. I strongly advise against staying at this establishment.
On arrival we were impressed but it didn't stay that way. Air conditioning was turned off twice while we were in the room. We never once received coffee or tea in our room, only a box with sugar in it. One morning ordered breakfast and waited 20 minutes and staff just disappeared and no one apologized. Breakfast took a very long time to be served. We had our clothes washed and had to keep asking for it and we still had to pay in full even though they stained my husband's golf pants. Parking is also a problem. It was a cold atmosphere and we felt very unwelcome. We were not asked if we slept well or if everything was still okay. We did not enjoy the stay it was cold and we felt like students in a boarding house. Impersonal over.
Very pleasant stay. A fan or air conditioner will be a big plus for the room, as well as more TV channels. Breakfast every morning was excellent. Overall we had a lovely stay and were well looked after.

Check in was efficient and friendly. An enjoyable stay.
Unfortunately, there were repairs done to the room that were not yet finished. This was beyond the control of the guest house, but the alternative arrangements were more than adequate. Thank you.
