It was just not user friendly with absurd rules, like not being allowed to have a beer or wine on the premises. We bought two big spoons, and they were taken away by staff personnel while we were out. It was very hot when we arrived, and there was no air conditioning available, only a useless and noisy fan. The DSTV was not tuned to any working channel, and we struggled to tune to any available channel with any success.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Some issues. 1. Only a half roll of toilet paper. No spares. 2. Despite being in a quiet garden and street there was noise. People talk loudly at night and early morning. And every time the gate was opened it made a racket - tin sheets on it. Lots of coming and going. The hostess was helpful and friendly. This is stay-over accommodation. The kitchen is small and rudimentary. The management is doing their best to work around loadshedding and moaning neighbours about the generator.
Because of the altitude we had to sleep over after diving. Edenville Guest House was the best price and location for our needs. The unit was very neat and clean and the area very quiet and peaceful. The owner was very kind and friendly. The room we booked was just like the pictures we saw. It was a fantastic night's rest.
Rikus is an excellent host and goes the extra mile for his guests. The accommodation is clean and tidy and met all our expectations.

We were looking for accommodation as our child had a cricket tournament in Lichtenburg this weekend. For what that purpose, it was perfect.
Overall it was a comfortable place to stay and value for money, but here are a few things that stood out: Pros: Friendly reception. Big, neat rooms. Place to cook. Modern furniture. Water bottles provided to make up for environment's undrinkable water. Cons: Parking a bit cramped (but at least safe inside yard). Bathroom windows are not opaque, so if people are sitting outside the window it is just awkward to try to close the blinds properly. Wall plugs are rare or hard to come by.

The place's finish is so rough. The bathroom is impractical and there isn't even a shower. The toilet ran all night and I'm not even talking about the fridge next to your bed that comes on every 5 minutes. The color of the place inside is depressing. I don't know if I will use the place again.
