Very friendly owner and staff, very comfortable accommodation, overall a very pleasant experience. Only drawback was the sulphur smell in the water. We were assured that it had been filtered and was drinkable, but I would recommend that visitors take their own drinking water as the smell was very strong.
The accommodation was clean, spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable. The host went out of her way to assist where possible and to make our stay pleasant. The meal was well-prepared and the service was great, but the view from the dining/patio was absolutely stunning. Don't miss this.
I would definitely go back there. The place is beautiful and clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The views are stunning and quiet. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family for future stays. Chalets are well-equipped and for load shedding as well. Lots of places of interest to go to close by.

Accommodation neat and clean. People very friendly and helpful. Food excellent. It was nice to enjoy the German beer with the view of the valley. Can definitely recommend Edi's.

Just 2 points I was not happy with. 1) I was just disappointed that I had no hot water in the shower at night and in the morning. I let the shower run for like 5 minutes and still no hot water. Hence, I left so early Sunday morning, skipped breakfast, to go home and shower. 2) The gate having to be opened and closed manually. At night, it is very scary for a female to be doing such.
On arrival, the lady that cooks/cleans welcomes you. Very untidy place, torn lace curtains in the room. Powdered milk and had to ask for coffee, etc. for our room. Owners made no effort to meet us before we left. That place is a dying business and it's sad to see no effort put in to tidy/clean and see to your customers. I would like to buy the farm and turn it into a proper venue; it has plenty of potential but unfortunately not with the existing owners.

Edi's was a wonderful experience with ice cold German beer, delicious German dishes, warm hospitality and lovely warm rooms. The dust in the room was truly a wonderful asset and ensured that the cold of the environment stayed outside the door. Neat, slept well. Load shedding caused that there was no water and it is suggested that something can be done about the water tank. It's slimy.
The service is very good. We did not wait to be helped. We felt welcome and at home. It's a very nice place for a large group of people. The whole place was for our use only.
Nothing is too much trouble for Lilian. We had a wonderful German dinner and breakfast.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable beds. A little tired in some areas - leaking gutters, new coat of paint needed in some areas. Plenty of hot water and a big shower head. Nice area for walks and local attractions.
Lilian is a hostess with the mostest. She went out of her way to do everything she could to make our stay confortable after a vicious hail storm.

The restaurant does not provide a menu. Choice is 3 dishes for dinner. Food was very nice and well priced but should not be advertised as a restaurant. It creates expectations.
The location is good. The owners are very friendly and see to the needs of the customers. The food needs to be upgraded. There should be a TV in each room. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Quiet, peaceful place with great view with hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Had a great time in restaurant that provided exceptional food, even though there was loadshedding. They even provided a flask for next morning's coffee water with Eskom problems. Also started generator to make sure water supply is adequate.

Really nice overnight stay in a huge room with comfortable beds. Des is an amazing host and we had a lovely supper.
We had both supper and breakfast at the restaurant. Breakfast was delicious. Although supper was very enjoyable I really think that the sausage platter for two could have had two of each sausage on and not only one each to share. Especially having been on the road for most of the day that was a little bit of a letdown.

The guest house is located between the mountains and the view from the veranda over the undulating surroundings is something special.

We had high expectations because we love German food. The portions are very small and it was more of a South African meal with some sauerkraut. The restaurant staff also urgently needs training.

The cottage was very well equipped, clean and tidy. The location is perfect, with the most breathtaking views. Also lots to do and see in the area. Would definitely recommend for a stopover on the way to the coast.

We each got one pillow, our friends didn't have a kettle in their room, breakfast was served very late and not at the agreed time, breakfast was not as we requested; our coffee was in a small bowl in the room but rock hard in both rooms, our friends didn't have toilet paper the first night in their room.

We spent 2 nights to explore the Midlands on our way to the sea. Nice central location and close to all the shops and restaurants. Accommodation was neat and clean.

A beautiful view of the valley with a simple but wonderful German-Austrian lunch and delicious beer! Along with this, the place is blessed with a natural mineral spring that bubbles up from the depths of the earth's crust. All together it feels like somewhere in the Tyrol!
Hosts were very friendly, the room was what was to be expected. Had everything needed for one night stay. Was very noisy during the night as room was next to restaurant - people talking and dogs barking echoed into our room. Bed linen and towels were good.

A small place located in Nottingham Road that definitely gets too little publicity. Friendly and hospitable. The best food my wife and I have eaten in a very long time. We definitely recommend them to anyone doing the Nottingham Road route.
