Eenuurkop Guest Farm was such a wonderful place to stay in that every expectation was exceeded. I found that the level of thoughtfulness and hospitality from our hostess, Tersia, was exceptional. The house we stayed in was well-designed, spacious, and very comfortable. Tersia is obviously artistic, and there are deft touches (fresh flowers in every room) around the cottage that increase its homely feel. The wood-burning stove made such an impression on us, as well as keeping the place toasty and warm. The bed was very comfortable with lovely pure cotton bed linens. My husband loved the braai area, and I found it to be a great place for morning coffee - bird sounds and peace. We were even visited by a friendly black and white cat, who was welcoming but not intrusive. All in all, a wonderfully relaxing experience. We would love to return in summer.

We stayed in "De Wet se huisie" which is actually a miniature farm house. The unit is clean, tidy, safe and well equipped. The farm atmosphere, privacy, leafy green native gardens and beautiful arable trees on the slope of the Langeberg certainly make Eenuurkop one of the best self-catering places we have ever stayed. We can definitely recommend this accommodation!

We rented the Eenuurkop house. The owners, Tersia and Jeremy, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. On a weekend where the weather was wet, cold and blustery, the fire pit/indoor barbecue was perfect and we spent wonderful evenings indoors with the fire burning in the kitchen. More than enough wood for the whole weekend was provided by the owners, and the farm's oranges and narcissus were delicious. The house is well equipped and has everything needed. The farm is beautiful and situated on the mountain slopes with plenty of space for walking. We will definitely go again when the weather is better to be able to make more use of the farm environment and outside visiting area. Just a note - the cell phone signal is pretty weak in the house.

The cottage had everything we needed and was located on the most spectacular, picturesque farm, with the Langeberg mountain range as the backdrop. The owners were lovely and friendly. The farm is located about 5 mins from central Swellendam. Our cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed and we loved the attention to detail. The "kaggel" inside was most welcome as it rained most of the weekend, and it kept us toasty and warm. We will definitely return for another visit!

The bathroom was spacious and modern. The mountain was breathtakingly beautiful. The farm is accessible and a stone's throw from Swellendam town. The access road is in excellent condition. Good location and we would like to stay there again if we visit Swellendam in the future.

One hour head is highly recommended and a definite stop in the future.

We went to Eenuurkop as a couple of friends for three nights. The owners were very hospitable and we immediately felt welcome. The farm is not far out of town, and the accommodation was well appointed. The photos were an accurate representation of the surroundings and the accommodation. It is very safe on the farm, and the four boys (between 6 and 10 years old) could ride their bikes and fish in the pond to their heart's content. The scenery on the farm is incredible and the green hills that just go on and on and melt into the gorge with the blue sky and white clouds and native trees seem almost unreal, that's how beautiful it is. You certainly can't take an ugly photo there - it's a wonderful place. We had a great time, and would definitely recommend Eenuurkop!

I would recommend it for a good quiet time and get out of the hustle and bustle for a moment. The lapa is equipped with braai facilities as well as a television. There is internet at the lapa area. The house has the nicest fireplace in the kitchen, was so nice now on the winter evenings. Amenities are great. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

Eenuurkop is a little more than 3 km outside Swellendam, which makes it easy to get to town quickly if needed. It exceeded all our expectations. The Purens have gone to great lengths to ensure privacy and you can see a lot of work and planning has gone into the layout of the beautiful garden. We were 2 families with 4 boys, they had a great time playing outside and cycling without us having to keep an eye on them all the time. We walked far and rode the bikes through the cattle camps into the mountain (very exciting for the kids to ride through the cattle). The house is well equipped. There is enough wood for a fire, toilet paper and the filter coffee was a big bonus! Even games in the chest in the living room. Remember good walking shoes or water boots in case it rains - it just gets muddy around the cattle's enclosures. These were indeed some of our best holiday destinations so far.

The 4.9 stars that Eenuurkop gets is definitely an indication that they 'tick' all the boxes. Unbelievably well-kept farm at the foot of the mountains. Tersia's friendly reception was further supported by fresh flowers in various places in De Wet's House. A cottage with so much atmosphere and equipped with everything you could need, hidden in a garden rich in trees and plants.

"An immaculate farm with beautiful scenery and long walks."

The Swellendam area is beautiful to begin with. Now imagine staying at the foot of the Langeberg Range on an immaculate, working farm with green rolling hills – the stuff of postcards. We stayed in a cute cottage called MistyPoint. There are two other accommodation options on the farm. None of the units can be seen from one another, and all offer great views. For complete privacy when sitting on one's patio, I'd probably recommend one of the other two options - De Wet se Huisie or Eenuurkop Family Cottage. The hostess, Tersia, was wonderful and warm; she messaged us to let us know that we could arrive earlier if needed, and said there was no rush to leave by 10 am on our departure day; we could take our time. The unit itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed, and more. We loved the indoor Mexican fire pot (which we lit up every day/evening, and which heated the unit really well), as well as the heated towel rail and panel heaters in the bedroom and lounge – making this venue perfect for winter getaways and those with joints that take strain in the cold. Attention to detail in the unit itself (and on the farm, in general) is excellent – we particularly loved the semi-circular window positioned at eye level that offers a perfect view of the sunrise when lying in bed. Simply turn your head when you wake up and voila! We loved the sounds of sheep, cows and guinea fowl. We spotted red bishops, woodpeckers, olive thrushes, and heard many more birds in the trees and foliage that surround the units and main house. Sadly, we'd forgotten our binoculars at home! A meandering walk on the farm, through meadows and alongside a stream took us to the foot of the Langeberg. We never got to explore the lower stretches of the mountain as it rained a lot, but maybe next time when we come back and bring family with us. This venue was an excellent choice and we highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle, unwind, and enjoy wonderful views and a picturesque 'farm' environment. PS: There's no TV or WiFi in the unit, but the cell signal is good and we managed to easily download some Netflix movies and series onto our tablets for viewing in the evenings. We had no problem making calls, picking up messages and the usual internet browsing, Facebooking or YouTubing. PPS: South African Loadshedding was in full swing but there were plenty of candles and even a gas bottle with cooker plate – 10 stars to our hosts!

It's clear that you are in the now industry, De Wet's little house was spacious and beautiful, with so much artistry that went into all the wood work and the little house itself. One can see that it is important for you to maintain the houses. Jeremy and Tersia were very pleasant and told us about everything we could do on the farm and in the area. This will definitely become a little house where we will often break away to experience the deathly silence and beautiful farm. Many guest houses as well as so-called "guestlodges" have been visited by me, these ones stand out because of the enormous work that has been put in to make it comfortable for you without overdoing it. This guest accommodation takes you back to values like the country people. The units were designed with attention and love and there was really nothing too short for me. Private, safe and terribly interesting was the accommodation made by Tesrsia and her husband Jeremy. If you see the building collapse photos from years ago and see and experience the quality of construction and comfort now, you are stepping back into the past. Eenuurkop Guest Farm will remain in my mind as the Pine Oak Farm, visit and you will understand.

We spent the night in De Wet's little house. Everything you would need was there. From kettle to two-point power plug to braai wood. Tersia even made an extra effort to set up a "camping cot" for our one-year-old. The surroundings are beautiful and so peaceful. Of all the places we stayed overnight during our holiday, this was definitely the best.

We had a nice time around the fireplace, walked around the farm with its beautiful scenery, enjoyed the tranquility, and the children enjoyed the animals and playground holes. The friendly and hospitable reception made the weekend even more enjoyable. We would love to go back again in the summer.
