There are 25 tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, family units, air-conditioned log cabins and thatched rondavels set in enchanting gardens shared by an abundance of bird life.
Breakfast consisting of a buffet and a cooked English breakfast is served in The Oak Room Restaurant. Complimentary mid-morning and afternoon tea are served to guests at 11:00 and 16:00 respectively on the inside patio. Beverages, teatime treats, light snacks and a mini à la carte menu are available to guests throughout the day and is served in the gardens, at the pool or on our enclosed patio room. We had problems with the shower in the rooms we were originally booked into, but we received excellent service and they changed our rooms the next day. The new rooms were much better. The rooms we were originally booked into need to be upgraded though. The views were stunning, and there is quite a lot to do at the inn: bowls, squash, tennis, table tennis, billiards, board games, and a library, so lots to keep ourselves busy even with 3 days of rain. Our breakfast was good, and they attended to our special halal needs. Supper was a bit of a problem due to our special halal requirements; we didn't have much to choose from during our 7-day stay, but the staff was very accommodating to all our needs. We really enjoyed our stay, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. However, due to our special needs, we would have loved a mini kitchen with a microwave and a mini fridge to make some of our own meals. The only thing missing for us. The WiFi was really very bad, and something really needs to be done about it.
Beautiful clean and tidy will definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends. The Manager Billy Engelbrecht and his staff give excellent service, friendly and helpful, go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

One of the highlights of my holiday. The staff is very friendly and professional, the food classy and delicious. The rooms/cabins neat and clean. Then of course there are many nice hiking trails to follow. Will definitely go again. Just can't stay too long, because then you'll have to shake your bag.

We had some lovely days in this hotel. The premises belonging to it are huge and you can do nice hikes without leaving them. The buildings are okay, but could need a renovation in the next years.

Very neat and garden is very beautiful. Very nice cutlery and tablecloths are pure white as well as the bedding and room service are very good. It's a place to just relax.
A beautiful place and very well and neatly maintained. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The staff was very friendly. The living room is very nice and the fire was crackling. The room was wonderfully warm when we entered. It was truly a great place to vacation or even just stay overnight.
The room was clean and comfortable and nicely located. Pity about the screaming children running wild. Good location for family stays. Wrong location for anyone wanting to enjoy peace and tranquility. Staff were willing and helpful but lack the "polish" required of a 4-star establishment. We put it down to inadequate training and supervision. The food was frankly, quite awful - my fried eggs were "toasted" (dark brown and leathery - couldn't cut through it) and my husband's omlette was dark brown on the outside and raw on the inside! We sent it back. Our nightly turn-down looked as if I had jumped out of bed in a hurry, as opposed to gentle folded back!!
Our stay at Eight Bells was truly an incredible experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's incredibly beautiful and peaceful. Definitely recommend! Next time we will take the children with us. It's incredibly child-friendly. And the prices are really good.
