The kitchen is fully equipped and features a 2 plate stove, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee and tea station, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, bowels etc. The lounge and dining area is open plan where the 2nd bed and sleeper couch are part of the family area.
There is a dining table with seating for 6 and the lounge is equipped with a flat-screen TV, featuring full DStv as well as free WiFi. The unit offers a lovely outside braai area with a beautiful garden for kids to run wild and play freely.

Accommodation is exactly as advertised and good value for money.
We had a nice stay at Eight Palms, friendly and very prompt service from them. The layout of the unit seems odd at first but we made it work as there is only one bathroom in the master bedroom. The location is good, nice and close to the beach. Kitchen well equipped with everything. Plenty of clean towels and bedding - everything very clean and tidy - thanks again to Bongi who kept everything so nicely in order.
Camien already contacted me 5min after payment and said our apartment is ready - a relief if you are traveling with 3 children. Everything in room was perfect for not only one night, but even a whole vacation. Thank you.
We took a walk to the beach. It rained. The owner messaged us to ask if we needed a ride back. The rooms were nice and clean. Stay was really good.
Although we were disappointed with the accommodation - it was very small (especially for 6 adults; although luckily we ended up being only 4) and with only a single shower, toilet and basin to share among all of us, and which required walking through the bedroom to reach - we enjoyed out stay. This cottage, despite being beautifully kitted out, should not be advertised for 6 people and it would be best suited for a family with children rather than for two couples. The lack of privacy was unfortunate, particularly the bathroom facility. Nonetheless, Carmien was very friendly and saw to all our needs when asked for fresh towels and more toilet paper, as we were staying for 5 days. I would highly recommend getting a generator for during load shedding, especially as having no electricity and subsequently no access to water either, during these times, can be very inconvenient, because this is not at issue when at home in Gauteng due to having alternative sources of energy.

Loved Eight Palms - was nice and the host was great. Just bitterly hot and the rooms have to get air conditioning at some point - but even then times are hard.

We had a lovely visit, everything that you need is there. The shops are around the corner if you need something. Our house was cleaned every day. We had a peaceful sleep the children could have fun and play.
