This place is a hidden gem. The location is perfect, it is quiet and peaceful and the residence is very beautiful. The place is clean, tastefully furnished and has everything one needs for a rest. We tour quite a lot and it's rare that we say wow when we walk into a place. Many thanks to the cleaning lady, because she keeps the place spotless.
It was lovely to hear and see the manatees during the day. The goats that graze on the lawn are soul delight. Great to be able to just relax and recharge.
A great stay on the Olifants in a small game park. Very private and good game viewing, especially hippos. Clean house with a fine game viewing deck and braai facilities. If you do not want to cook three bridges are just under 10 minutes away.
If I can make any suggestions it is that the load shedding facilities could be upgraded. We had phase 5 and 6 load shedding that lasted up to 4 hours. A light and candles are not sufficient. A gas stove would really help a lot. We are not campers and therefore do not have the necessary equipment for that. It really is a very nice chalet and the dishwasher, WIFI and full DSTV was very convenient (when the power is on).
It was nice and peaceful. The indication is that wood can be bought at the gate. After inquiring about the wood I was informed that the information provided to me there was no wood. The information is not accurate. We were also not asked if everything was in place after we got there and customer service is not up to standard.
Stay was good, but the interaction/behavior of the owner was not acceptable. False accusation of men moving around naked inside the chalet. Unnecessary reaction to the sliding door being open while the people are inside the chalet and moving in and out. Unacceptable comments about the behavior of South Africans who stay there from time to time.
I was expecting a chalet but it is actually a very big house! Excellently equipped, unbeatable view.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ekuthuleni. The place is very nice and the location was perfect. The highlight was the hippo that came to graze in front of the unit in the evening. Would definitely recommend Ekhuthuleni if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and just want to relax and experience peace. Will definitely stay there again.

Lovely place, had a great stay and overnight stay. Unfortunately was only there for one night but will definitely go again.
It was special to stay so close to the river, with the wildlife grazing on your doorstep. Very quiet and we had everything we needed to rest well.

Place is clean, tidy, and peaceful. Nice view on river. Night sounds of manatees really enjoyed. A place where you can rest and just have a good time. Mentioned the power points should be checked, very sensitive and shuts off easily.
