Hospitality was pleasant, but (r940) per night the cleanliness of the room was not up to expectations. A woman's hand is needed! The garden is beautiful and its tranquility made up for the room's "letdown".
We booked El-Ruze because we saw they have light conditioning in every room. Unfortunately our air conditioner did not work at all and did not cool anything, the gas was finished. We went to see if we could move our rooms because the room we booked according to the photos is not the room we got at all. He didn't let us move but provided a temporary air conditioner that didn't work either. Luckily the room was quite clean and had everything we needed.
On arrival, the people were very friendly. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in a few things. I did not receive the room I paid for, there was cat hair all over the pillows, and I'm allergic to cats. The gate motor was broken, so I did not feel safe getting in and out of my car to open the gate manually late at night. In prior communications, they stated that breakfast was included, which I did not receive.
When we arrived at our room, there was a nasty smell in the room. There was old food still left in the microwave, and the room was poorly cleaned. I will never recommend this stay to anyone.

A great place to stay for 2 nights for a weekend wedding. Lovely, good quality bedding, a friendly welcome by the host and a sense of security. A winning recipe!
The place was very neat. Rudi's service was very good.
We had a very nice stay. The accommodation had everything and more that we could possibly need. The aircon helped a lot, especially because I had to get ready for a wedding.
We attended a nearby wedding and only stayed one night at El-Ruze. We were kindly received and the room was clean and tidy with good quality pillows and bedding. The gardens are neat. Rudi gave us a gate remote control to re-enter after the wedding. El-Ruze is an ideal place to stay overnight and I will definitely use them again.

The rooms are too close, there's no privacy, you always hear your neighbours talking, can't enjoy your sleep till late. On booking it was said that they serve breakfast, even on people's reviews, but was amazed when told there was no breakfast.
Lovely surroundings and rooms. Rudi and his daughter were most helpful and friendly. If we ever had reason to be in the area again, I would definitely book there.

Tranquil and peaceful environment with a lovely outlook and some cattle! Lovely pool and space to sit outside with complimentary breakfast over the weekend, everything seems newly refurbished and very neat and cosy! Will definitely go there again if we need a breakaway! Shops and everything was close by too and was easy to find via maps. Situated on a farm, so always weary of surroundings, but was still a great time away!
For an overnight stay in the farm atmosphere, we could not have asked for a better situation.

We had a great time at El Ruze, were received kindly. The place has a warm and cozy atmosphere, very neat and yet luxurious. We were spoiled with a delicious light breakfast although it was not even part of our package. Thank you very much Rudy. We will see you again soon and gladly recommend you.
A beautiful place surrounded by bushes, tranquillity at it's best.
It is definitely worth visiting El-Ruze for a weekend getaway from the city or a place to sleep over for a wedding or event nearby.
The guesthouse is located in bosveld away from too busy cities, perfect to get away from all the noise and just relax!
Rooms were clean and tidy. Place is quiet and peaceful will recommend the place to my friends. Definitely.
