33 guests' feedbackMy husband and I were welcomed very kindly and we had everything we needed in our room. The bed was comfortable. The environment was quiet and peaceful. We felt safe and the garden is beautiful. The WiFi was fast and the TV package met our needs.
It's just a pity that there is no extra light above the work table, very difficult to work on your computer, and there is no power point near the bed, I couldn't sleep with my device because there is no power point . One plug in the whole room.
Safe, beautiful gardens, clean and beautiful rooms. Friendly staff.
Initially a little trouble with the WiFi, but it was soon fixed. Clean and tidy, couldn't really fault anything.
We were pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms.
The management of that place was just concerned about money and did not introduce themselves or give a word of welcome. All I got was, "Hi, how are you? Have you paid for accommodation? Can you please come and pay? Did you fill in the check-in form?" The staff was great though, very welcoming.

We stayed for two nights in El Shadai while exploring nearby Marakele National Park. El Shadai was a great base to start. A peaceful, quiet place to come home to after a full day of exploration. A delicious breakfast provided us with the energy to start the day and the packed lunch was a welcome treat during the day. We loved it.

Neat facility in a beautiful garden, under personal supervision of the owner. In a very quiet and peaceful environment, but with easy access routes to the business part. Good security. Spacious and comfortable room and bathroom. A mirror near the power plug (for blow-drying hair) would be handy. Recommend with confidence.

Ideal for a weekend getaway. People are friendly and treat you like old friends. Constantly ask if everything is okay and if you need help. Nice breakfast and peaceful atmosphere.
We were welcomed with open arms. We were immediately taken to the sleeping area and they also showed us the living area. Great night's sleep after some quality time in the lounge area. Delicious breakfast the next morning, beautifully presented. Home-made "Makataan" jam was divinie.
Only one problem - the water was cold in the morning (06:20) and had to shower in cold water. Breakfast was delicious and we slept well.
I would definitely stay there again and again if they have space for us and we travel in that direction.

Room was clean and tidy. It was my own fault that I didn't notice that it wasn't en suite in the description, but that's a bit too much to pay for a room without your own bathroom.
Owners/staff: Very nice and friendly welcome, warm helpful owners. Entire guesthouse: Honeymoon suite is not detached, but part of a cottage with kitchen and dining room. Share cottage with 2 more bedrooms that are not en suite. If there are no other guests, it is private. It didn't really bother us, because we weren't on honeymoon. Easy access to kitchen, convenient for making coffee and also fridge available in the kitchen for a few small things. Unfortunately no milk for tea/coffee only creamer, no biscuits. A delicious breakfast included in the stay. Beautiful garden and plunge pool for guests. Secure parking although not always covered. Honeymoon suite: Bed is of high quality. Only 2 flat pillows per person, I would recommend that there should be at least 2 spare pillows and blanket in the closet. Thabazimbi is a warm town, but it was raining and it was cold and there was only a sheet and a thin blanket on the bed. A frustration for women who want to blow dry their hair by a mirror - perhaps a solution is an extension cord to the bathroom or a mirror near the wall plug. The bathroom is comfortable, the shower is great, the towels are a bit tired. Other than that we had a good experience.
The people are very friendly and it is a nice and cosy place, not very modern, but very nice. There was a problem with us checking in, the people wanted to check us into a cheaper room than we booked, but otherwise it was a very nice place.
We were treated like family. We had a warm welcome. Our stay was short and memorable. We would definitely recommend them to our family and friends.
We immediately felt at home and visited like old friends. We will stay there again if we have to spend the night in Thabazimbi.

Just one word to sum it up: Wow! Marietjie and Paul the owners, wonderful and friendly people. Upon our arrival they welcomed us to our car. We have discovered new friends in them. The owners also boast a very nice garden with various exotic plants. I can recommend them anytime. I believe LekkeSlaap can proudly recommend this B&B. Will definitely go back to El Shadai again.
