My mother and I really enjoyed the guest house. We relaxed and looked out over the pond and also visited the spa. The rooms and garden are very nice and tidy. Friendly service and people. Got a nice big breakfast next morning. Several restaurants in area.

Had a very beautiful old place with a fabulous view. Pieter and his son made us the most delicious breakfast every morning. Pieter was helpful with advice on good places to eat and visit, which made it easier for us to enjoy the break. My husband and I also made use of the spa facilities and it was absolutely heavenly! This is truly a cute little place close to everything and I would definitely recommend it for a weekend getaway.

El Shadai Guesthouse was an absolute delight. The owners are very pleasant, the service is excellent and the view over the dam is breathtaking. The facilities are good, and the breakfast is very tasty. You have everything you need at the place. Safety is also good.

The place has a beautiful view from the Penthouse we stayed in, but there was no Wi-Fi service in our room, as per the website. We are business people who make and receive communication and had to use our own data for that. We received some spa treatments and the room where the treatments were did not have toilet paper, soap or a towel and we had to send someone to get these items from housekeeping. The parking at the establishment was also a problem. There are 4 suites, and the fourth vehicle had to park behind the rest of the vehicles or outside the gate in a street that does not have street parking. Kathy who prepared the meals were very kind and helpful.

What a spectacular place. The owners and the staff were very amazing, friendly and treated us with respect. What you see is what you get. I can not fault this place: from the rooms, breakfast to the bathrooms, etc. it was out of this world. I will make this place my second home every time I go to Hartbeespoort and will book there and at no other place.

We were kindly welcomed with a welcome man; the view is picturesque and the surroundings are so peaceful that even if you are in town it feels like you are away from everything and everyone; the staff are friendly and the breakfast was heavenly. Both the room and view were fabulous. The breakfasts also varied and tasty. The only pity was that we couldn't take full advantage of the stoep and view, as there are no awnings and the sun shines directly onto the bedroom and balcony till sunset.
