We will definitely recommend it to other people looking for places to stay outside Pretoria. Ninell is a helpful and friendly host. The house is comfy, clean and has everything you need (even spare wine in case you run out and then you don't need to travel to the shops around 50 km away). It's a safe place and security is also good with a guard patrolling the farm and a four-legged friendly guard dog sometimes pops in for a visit outside the house. We hope to stay there again if we are in the area.

For a peaceful weekend getaway near Rietvlei Nature Reserve, Elandsfontein Farm is a must-stay. It was delicious and we will definitely use them again. The owner received us kindly and was very helpful from the beginning when the reservation was made until departure.
It is a very nice place, the hostess is very friendly, we felt very much at home, thank you again.
Everything you need was there. Beautiful surroundings. Love the woofs. One always brought a leaf to say hello. Within driving distance of shops. Can only see that if it rains that road will be a nightmare.

Misunderstanding between the host who thought that one doesn't appreciate farm life and instead expected a 24h hotel service. Forgetting that sometimes it's just about ensuring no trespassing of security protocols keeping in mind the farms incident in South Africa.
We had a wonderful rest! The detail of the cottage, from the 'homey feel', to the biscuits, milk and nut coffee, as well as chocolates, bath soap and candles was a wonderful treat for us. Already thinking when we will be able to come again. Can't believe 50 minutes drive we are on a lovely farm and feel far away from the busy city.

It was our second visit to the farm, but the first time the children were there. We were all so comfortable and my children thoroughly enjoyed the farm - Ninell was a fantastic hostess as usual. She and Hoffman made the children feel so at home on the farm and it gave us peace of mind to fully enjoy and relax the weekend. The children often ask when we are going again and we are all ready for the next visit. Ninell and Hoffman, thank you very much for allowing us to enjoy this special place again, we will see you again soon.

We had a lovely time at Elandsfontein farm - it is the perfect getaway for a weekend's rest from daily life in the city. Close enough to be easily accessible but far enough to feel like you are truly on holiday, the cottage is very comfortable and well stocked. Hoffman and Ninell were amazing hosts, and we will definitely be returning when we need another break.
This place is a secret gem! We were received so welcome and from the first moment at ease and relaxed. This wonderful place gave us the opportunity to recharge, we will definitely visit longer next time.

Elandsfontein has a lovely, peaceful farm atmosphere and is perfect for a quick weekend getaway close to Pretoria East. The house is well furnished with everything one could need. The fireplace was a winner against the cold winter evenings. Ninell's attention to detail in the house was remarkable. We really enjoyed the time at Elandsfontein.

The plane tree cottage is beautiful and well equipped. The farm is conveniently located close to the city, but it feels like you are miles from the city. The dirt road is in reasonable condition and passable with a regular Sedan car. Ninell is a warm sociable hostess, but gives you the necessary space. Highly recommended!

Elandfontein Farm was exactly what we had hoped for - a relaxing break on a farm not far from home. The cottage, although rustic on the outside, is a beautiful farm home with everything we needed. It was perfectly clean and well looked after with a very homely feel. It is secure and we felt very safe. The hosts were friendly and informative and were available if we needed anything but we also felt like we had privacy. We were able to explore the farm and the neighbouring farms and we had some lovely walks and bike rides. We felt very comfortable and able to just enjoy the surroundings and be outdoors. Our kids had the best weekend! Thanks so much to Ninell and Hofman. We would love to return sometime and experience this lovely farm in spring or summer too.

Excellent accommodations and very clean and neat.
The accommodation itself was spotless and tidy. The rooms are nicely and tastefully decorated. Everything we could possibly need and more was there and made available to us. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. There is approximately 4 km of dirt road that has to be driven to the farm and we would have appreciated it if we had been made aware of this ahead of time as we would then have made better preparations about which vehicle we would be driving with. At check-out time there was confusion about where and to whom we should hand over the key and we stood for a while knocking and calling before someone came to take the key. Otherwise a very nice experience and good value for money. We will definitely go there again.

Friendly, helpful staff always willing to assist when needed. Homely, quite environment to rejuvenate your soul. The well equipped self-catering cottage allows you to take that well deserved brake you needed in a landscape with a well maintained lawn abounding in trees.

We had a really lovely few days at Elandsfontein Farm. A little difficult to find as we have a hire car without GPS! However, it was worth the find. The cottage is beautiful and exceptionally clean (I have high standards!). It is equipped with everything you need and the use of the picnic items was most welcome! We spent two days at the amazing nature reserve (next to the farm). It was so quiet (weekday visit!) and enjoyed this so much! I wish we had found the farm many years ago - this would have prevented us staying in Jburg centre as you could quite easily explore all tourist attractions from here! If you like peace and quiet and don't like your holiday with other people and their noisy children then this is the place! Simply perfect!
