Lodge 197 can accommodate a total of 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms and 4 en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms are located in 2 sleeping wings separate from the main living area. Three of the bedrooms are furnished with a king-size bed, while the other bedroom contains 2 single beds. The first and second bedrooms are separate while the third and fourth bedrooms are adjacent. There is air-conditioning and a full en-suite bathroom with a private outdoor shower, a bath, and a wash basin in 4 of the bedrooms. Quality linen and bath towels are provided.
The main living area features 2 fireplaces and an open-plan design with a kitchen and a lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as a breakfast bar with stools. A dishwasher, washing machine, and a tumble dryer are available in the separate scullery. The lounge has a comfortable couch and a TV with a full selection of DStv channels.
The living area opens to a covered patio with outdoor dining furniture and a built-in braai. This in turn leads to a boma with seating and a firepit and joins a lovely deck with sun loungers and a private pool. It is one of the few lodges with a lock-up garage with comfortable parking for 4 vehicles.
The gold estate boasts an 18-hole Peter Matkovich US PGA Championship Golf Course with regular competitions. The natural game species that roam freely include kudu, nyala, impala, blue wildebeest, zebra, blesbuck, red hartebeest and mountain reedbuck. Lodge 197 boasts exceptional views of the bushveld as far as the eye can see.

The lodge is very very nice and clean and spacious to host big families everything about it is very top and quiet, security is very strict for safety as well and the cleaning lady was very nice and assisted us. Will definitely visit the lodge again. Please install Wi-Fi.
The place is well looked after, clean and bedrooms are modern and well looked after. The view is amazing and the place has everything you would need for a great stay.
It was perfect. The gravel road is long, but it was a great stay.
Probably some of the most beautiful views in the area. Above average equipped with almost everything you can think of and super clean and tidy. Living area and porch wonderfully spacious and sunny. In the summer it can be really lovely to be here, because the swimming pool is by the living area and with the large glass doors open it can become all too pleasant here.
We had a wonderful stay, my friends and I really enjoyed the place. It is very beautiful, just as it is in the pictures. The only issue we had was that it wasn't cleaned before our arrival, and there was no electricity for most of our trip. If they could invest in backup power, it would be amazing. Would definitely go back, absolutely beautiful!
Feels like you are in a treehouse, warm pool, lovely place to relax and spend quality time with family.
This is a perfect house to remind and feel nature.
We had a very nice weekend with family to celebrate my 30th. Very nice for visiting, swimming and relaxing. Thanks to house 197 that we could also check out a little later on Sunday. All other feedback I have is that we expected king size beds in some of the rooms as advertised and unfortunately there were only queen/double beds. Other than that, a wonderful stay! Will go again.
