Elephant Rest Forest Cottage is on the edge of the ancient indigenous Knysna forest, offering some of the Garden Route's most exquisite hiking trails to untouched waterfalls, and challenging mountain biking routes. The long, open beaches and clean surf breaks of Buffalo Bay are less than 25 km away.

The rustic cottage can accommodate 7 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and 1 child-only bed. The second bedroom has a double bed, while the third bedroom has 2 single beds. The bathrooms are each fitted with a bath, shower, washbasin, and toilet. All linen and bath towels are provided.

The open-plan living area has a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, microwave, fridge, as well as cutlery and crockery. The spacious living area with comfy seats and a fireplace leads to a spacious deck with outdoor furniture, where guests can enjoy views of the beautiful sunsets and forest.

The unit features a delightful braai area situated in front of the deck, overlooking a charming garden that's just waiting to be explored. Guests can enjoy the sunshine food garden and take a leisurely stroll through the small orchard, where they might be lucky enough to sample some seasonal fruits. The sprawling gardens are dotted with many nooks and quiet spaces, ideal for reading, resting, and bird watching. Visitors should keep an eye out for the elusive Knysna Loerie. On a hot day, guests can cool off with a refreshing plunge in the farm dam.
