It is a lovely house, and is equipped with everything you could need! We are already planning our next visit! André assisted us so well when there was a problem with Eskom's lines - and any other queries we had. Just want to move to Hoedspruit!
A very lovely and well-kept home. All to yourself. The host was kind and helpful. You get to spot some wildlife here and there in the backyard. The only thing I'd say needs attention is with regard to safety. The host needs to make the gate electronic so that guests don't have to leave the vehicle to open, close, and lock the gate manually. As mentioned above, there is wildlife roaming freely on the property, and we have seen some at night when we arrived back from the day's activities. Besides that, we had an incredible time and we'll definitely visit again in the future.

It's a beautiful house, a beautiful view. Everything was more than we expected. The pictures on the web aren't as nice as when you see them in live.
Have a great time and relax. View of river that was in flood, incredibly beautiful! Patio is a lovely place to hang out. However, there are a few things in the house that need attention: the sliding mesh doors get stuck and come off their tracks, many of the down lights are missing bulbs, room closest to the kitchen's power plugs don't work, had to buy an extension cord and power out laying out the hallway for bedside lights. Sinks need 1 plug. Can say though we got a cleaner in one day and used the cold room the whole time at no extra charge, thank you very much!
I really don’t have much words, but this was a beautiful villa. The rooms are perfect, the view and the peace are amazing.
Would suggest that carpet and sofas in TV area really need a good cleaning. Maybe purchase some solar panels for the loadshedding days? Wi-Fi doesn't work at all!

The Villa was clean and neat with all the necessary utensils, cutlery, crockery and pottery. Just one suggestion - air conditioners will definitely be great for those cold nights and the hot days. Thank you so much, Andre and Karlien, for making our stay a pleasant and comfortable one.
My friends and I absolutely loved the place, from the walk-in fridge, to the en-suite bedroom. It was great waking up to the sound of the river and seeing the monkeys play during our walks. Would have loved to see the crocodiles or have a visit from a leopard and hippo. But overall, I'd buy the place if I could. Mr Khoza was friendly and made us feel at home.
The house is more beautiful than in the pictures. The only problem is they need to change the fridge and have more cutlery, glasses. Basically, the whole kitchen needs an upgrade on appliances, cooking utensils and cutlery. Either than that the house is perfect.
The place is out of this world if you love nature and quietness. Will definitely visit again.
The place needs a good clean, they need to check cleaners after cleaning, so far it is a nice place. Cleanliness is important especially now during COVID times. The kitchen was not up to the cleanliness standards as were the bathrooms.
The tranquility and the river so close makes one relax. Very nice hidden place. Very close to home too.
Service was on point, the owners are very friendly and welcoming. We wouldn't mind to visit the premises again, the place is very spacious. We were overwhelmed by the visit of springbok during supper time.
The villa comes complete with everything you need in it. Beautiful place by the river with swimming pool, wild goat species and manatees that can be seen daily. Frank is very friendly and helpful at all times. It was a privilege to stay in a 5-star house with wife and all my children and grandchild. Dog kind also really enjoyed it. Would recommend the place to anyone. We can't wait to return.
My friends and I had an excellent time. The home is beautiful and well equipped. Our host and her family were very sweet and made our stay comfortable. Thank you, Karlien. The hippos came and visited and chilled by the river bank. We even had some buck come for breakfast. The crocs would pop by for sundowners, we had the best view ever. I'd only recommend they install aircon because, wow, it gets super hot from 7 am.
We really enjoyed the break at Elephant Rock. The house was very neat, clean and well equipped. We saw a lot of wildlife from the rooms and porch, including a peaceful visit of two hippos one evening. Very good value for money. Would recommend them anytime, Karlien made us feel so welcome. We will definitely go there again.
Most definitely one of the best holiday homes I have stayed in thus far. The setting was breathtaking. The location is off the grid. The house was stunning. Would recommend this house for anyone. We will definitely go back.
