It was good but the problem we experienced was the cockroach in the bathroom that was licking somewhere.
The only negative comment we had was the parking. After returning from our function we could not find parking within the secure parking area and had to park our car for the evening in another, less secure area. Furthermore, the room, service and overall stay was not bad at all.
Nobody at reception just before time of check-in.
What is on the menu could not be prepared in the kitchen. Kindly put the mini fridges in the rooms.
My stay was fine. I got the best service and she is a very nice lady who takes her work seriously.
Cockroaches in rooms. The bath in the family room is not in a good condition. The TV channels were snowy.
The buildings were under construction, the rooms were very dirty and the overall hotel was not in good condition, the rooms do not look anything like the pictures on the website, we were very disappointed and checked out early.
My family of 11 was very unhappy about their rooms, when we got there the rooms were overflooded with water. The air-conditioning wasn't working, it was smelly and it really felt that we were booked in into a brothel.
The room was very clean and the breakfast was well prepared. Hotel is very centrally located in the town so you can walk where you want to be. Will definitely book there again. The only complaints we have are the TV channels are very soft and the number of channels very limited. If towel rails can be put up in the bathroom, it will help a lot with the wet towels when you come from the Forever Resort. Thank you very much.
Please provide at least a bar fridge for the hotel rooms, or a cold water dispenser.
The place is very nice and the staff was very friendly.
Room 10, the bathroom is badly stained, we booked for 2 bedrooms. One bedroom had no chair and a TV. The bath soaps and towel were not provided.
The pictures are very misleading, the place is not cleaned properly for reception to the rooms. The rooms have cockroaches, the need some serious upgrades, the pool was dirty and the new linens. Our bed felt 20 years old and it was on bricks. The initial room we were allocated was bad; the sliding door was broken, the linens were dirty, there were cockroaches and was just not ok. The second room was better but there were cockroaches and the shower was grimy, the linen was old and stained. It was my husbands birthday getaway and I was excited but when I got there, I almost cried cause the amount I paid was not worth it, even my husband said there are better places around at that price cause he knows the area.
We really had a great time, the staff there is very welcoming.

We really enjoyed our stay at Elephant Springs, except that the hotel is in town so the sound of trucks and cars is a problem in the early hours of the morning and there's no Wi-Fi in the rooms.
It was what we needed for a good price. Hot water in the shower is difficult to control and noise from the trucks in the road was just too bad at times.
This was no value for money it was expensive for a no star hotel, it was filthy and service was bad a lot of broken things. Stove was not working, kettle was dirty, bathroom was very dirty jams all over the place broken pots. No proper towels.
The mat was wet due to air-conditioner and smells bad, guess they are not serviced. The bathroom is a disaster. I came across spider webs. It's not as attractive as we saw on the pictures. We didn't use the other room due to bad smell. We had to use only two and share the two. It's a bad experience. Ever since I started traveling in 2009 I never had such problems. Guess it shouldn't be classified as a hotel, no.
This is the dirtiest place I have ever come across in my life, there is a lot of noise from people coming from the street to visit their restaurant and pool. It's more of a day visitor pub. The floors were dirty, the room smelled bad, I was there for 5 minutes and then I left.
Good centrally located hotel. Maybe 2 star rating. Breakfast is satisfactory and reception's response to requests was good. Room for improvement includes electronic locks on the doors, new televisions in the rooms and maintenance of the air conditioning. A fridge in each room will also help a lot, especially for the milk in the summer months. Each room is spacious. The location makes a walk very pleasant. It's about a 3 minute walk from the Forever resort and right across the street is the Shoprite Shopping Centre.
Hygiene: Bad. The hotel room had cockroaches and no disinfectant for insects was available in the room. Bath was very dirty as if it hasn't been cleaned in days. Water: worst. We slept there for 2 nights and we did not have hot water in the hotel room at all. They were promising to fix it. The worst part was we were travelling with our child that has to bath every night before sleep. On the last day (Sunday), we were forced to go to the self-catering rooms to take a bath, otherwise we would have only had a bath in Johannesburg again.
The initial room allocated to us was downright dirty. The next room (which we were eventualy given) was equally dirty and the main lights were not even working!
The location is a big plus for business travelers. However, the bathrooms are extremely poor, especially in room 25. With me were two foreign customers and they also complained about their bathroom. Big advantage is the restaurant that is in the hotel.
Recommendation hotel management should not perform renovations during peak season it does have an impact on your stay - otherwise, very nice.
I enjoyed staying at the hotel, though would recommend the old and stained carpet be replaced. The bathroom basin for room 4d / 4c was not draining effectively, please check it. I enjoyed my stay otherwise, and am hoping to come back some time soon.
The breakfast is good, and my room was normal. The staff members are also friendly and professional. There was noise from the hallway from other guest, and it is the only thing that bothered me (but is one of those things that's hard to avoid as we humans do not respect other people). I'd recommend some carpets in the hallway to combat the noise made by others. The place is worth what I paid for.
