Very comfortable and enjoyable.
We had a wonderful stay in a clean and tidy house with all the basic necessary facilities. There is only a stove and no oven or braai facilities, prepare for that or go explore the village. You will not regret it!
Beautiful clean and tidy accommodation in an incredibly beautiful environment. Good quality furniture and linen. The facilities are well equipped and the management very helpful.
The accommodation was well-kept and everything we needed was available in the cottage. We also received a complimentary bottle of their wine and enjoyed it. The pool was great to swim in and view the valley below and the surrounding mountains while taking a swim. The garden was beautiful with proteas and other indigenous plants, very well-kept and with an abundance of birds. Great for nature lovers. It was peaceful and the views from the cottage were breathtaking. Will definitely recommend it.
They were very kind, gave us a complimentary bottle of wine, as well as 1 more for my birthday. Will visit again anytime!

Absolutely worth it.
We were on a 4-night honeymoon stay, probably the best 4-day stay that I have experienced anywhere! Set in an amphitheatre of mountains just out of town it's a phenomenal location that one can stare into for hours. The cottage is extremely comfortable and well-equipped and has everything that one needs. The staff, especially Amy, are so helpful and willingly go the extra mile to make your stay the best. The complimentary wine tasting was exceptional, their Wildeberg Wine House wines are superb and we returned home with 4 cases.
This cottage is beautiful and even more beautiful than in the photos! It is very spacious with an incredible view. The host really went the extra mile for us when we needed anything.
Very friendly welcome with the complimentary bottle of wine, a nice surprise. It was very cold and the unit was nice and warm with heaters already on. The place is very well equipped and we had a wonderful stay ─ view over the valley is a big plus! Little bit out of town which gives it a nice peaceful farm feel, would recommend it anytime.
A spacious, well-appointed apartment, wonderful views and very peaceful location. Close enough to the town for a quick drive to the sights.

The farm is close enough to the town for excursions, yet quiet and secluded with the most beautiful view. It's the perfect hideaway for a weekend and Lin-Mari makes sure that all the necessary self-catering facilities are available. Here you can expect total peace and quiet and a lovely view. The swimming pool is nice and clean and you can even explore the farm and visit the dam. Great bottle of wine to kick off the weekend too.
Located on a farm outside (not far) Franschhoek. Not detached, but forms part of the main house with separate access and good privacy. Most beautiful views of the mountains and the valley. Beautiful gardens. Excellent security. The unit is spacious, neat and clean with beautiful decor. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Everything about our stay at Elephant Cottage was just perfect. Lin-Mari's welcome and communication was fantastic. Every attention to detail had been thought of and the setting and location is simply superb. We will be back!

We are not tech minded so couldn't use the air conditioner. A remote control would work much better. It was incredibly cold this weekend. No electric blanket. No TV, would like to watch TV.
