Meagan and her team went out of their way to make sure we were settled and gave us the best breakfast the next morning.
The house, bedroom and bathroom, facilities and gardens were really very beautiful and comfortable. The hospitality and breakfast were particularly enjoyable. As we slept over on a Monday night, dinner and a wine tasting were not available. We would love to go back when it is possible.
One can only delight in the beautiful garden decked out in bright autumn colors. The house is special: large porch, cozy living room with fireplace and all. Bonus for us when the winemaker stopped by and shared a glass of wine with us. Spacious room and bathroom, clean and tidy. Delicious breakfast. The staff, Audrey and Marthie, as well as Peter are exceptional people, friendly and helpful. Marisa is a competent manager who makes you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble for her. Congratulations on the household and good team!
Check in should be before 17h00 as gates closes at 19h00. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we could not make it for 17h00 and I contacted the Guest House at 15h00 to make arrangements. On arrival, we collected the keys as per arrangement with Marisa and luckily it was before 19h00 and the gates were still open. We were the only guests. Very scary. One chair in the room. I could help myself at the honesty bar to a bottle of wine. Must admit, the wine was good. Wine was on the floor, no table. Had to do makeup in the bathroom all steaming up. My blow dryer was on the coffee station as that was the only plug near to a mirror. We left after breakfast. Upon our return, our room was not serviced. Bed was not made. Dirty towels still in the bathroom. No clean towels. The next day there were quite a few people checking in only to overnight. They received the suites. When I eventually got to see Marisa as we were checking out, she did not apologise. Her excuse: The rooms were all the same size. That was not what I saw. The feedback to my booking agent was; I did not contact her to make arrangements and therefore she thought we were not coming anymore. However, I was offered a free wine tasting or a bottle of wine delivered to my home. Regarding the cleaning; they do not go into guests' room because not everybody trusts strangers to go into their room. But they refilled the coffee and the curtains were open.

One of the best places we have ever been to, the hosts at the house and tasting were amazing and made the guests feel very comfortable. The food at the wine tasting, Manor House and breakfast were incredible. Great value for money and lots to do. Will certainly return.
Even before my arrival I felt welcome because the owner sent a message with a card. The Country House is very tidy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything anyone needs and more, really a very pleasant experience. The pizzaria and wine tasting venue is right next to the house and everything was just as good there. A must for sure. I will go back to Elgin Vintners without a doubt! Great value for money!

We even had a 3-course dinner specially prepared for my husband's 40th birthday celebration. So much to do on this farm, we will definitely be back to experience it again. Thank you to Hein at the wine tasting venue. Great selections of wines, served with delicious pizza and lovely gardens for the kids to play while the adults sat back and relaxed by the warm fire.

Just the place if you want to enjoy some peace and beauty of nature. It's definitely a nice place to sleep. Away from the city's hustle and bustle. Amenities are some of the best.
I was so surprised by the kindness of Francois, Jolene and Loretta. Nothing was too much trouble. On Sunday morning Jolene came in especially early to make me a delicious breakfast as I already wanted to drive 8 hours to attend Krimifees talk. The room is beautiful and the bedding spotless and fragrant. Fresh flowers make you feel especially welcome.

Check in is between 1pm and 4pm and check out is by 11am. Should guests wish to arrive or depart a bit later, please arrange with management prior to arrival. Luggage may be left with the establishment after check-out and collected later in the day. No check-ins will be accepted after 8pm.
A hearty Country-style breakfast is served daily in the dining room between 08h30 and 10h30.
Dinner at the Country House can be arranged prior to check-in. Please enquire about the options available. An honesty bar is available in the dining room. All drinks will be added to the guests bill and needs to be settled before checking out.
No pets are allowed to stay in the rooms, however, they are welcome in the public areas for day visitors and have to be on leash at all times.

The Denniston Suite is perfect for business travellers. It comprises a queen bed with an electric blanket as well as heating wall panels with an on-suite bathroom including a bath and shower.
