The guest house is centrally located and guests can visit the spectacular Augrabies Falls and the nearby Akkerboom Padstal with its delicious dried fruit, grapes and beautiful gifts. Guests can also visit the Orange cellar and enjoy some wine tasting.
On the farm leisure activities like fishing, swimming, and canoeing as the river within walking distance of the guest house. Guests just need to bring with their own canoes.

Clean, exquisite decor, comfortable and there is everything that will make your stay wonderful.
Our overnight stay was really special because we didn't experience any load shedding either. Don't know if they have alternative power on the farm.

We had a great stay, but there was no one on site when we arrived (or for the entire time we were there), and we had trouble contacting the host. We were given a different unit than the one we booked (which turned out well as it seemed bigger than the one we originally booked). The unit was clean and everything we needed was there (the freezer was great, and the bathroom was huge!) The only other small complaint: It would have been nice to have a towel next to the sink in the bathroom and a drinking glass for each person (there were 4, and we were 5).
It is a very beautiful and peaceful place. We had a lot of fun fishing and relaxing. It was a big bonus that we could take our dachshund with us. The unit was also well equipped. Only suggestion would be an extra lead in the unit.

Good location, very quiet and safe. The Orange River runs through the property, at a safe distance for families with small children. Green vineyards around you. There is a DStv package, WiFi and air conditioning.
Everything was in order and we had a nice walk along the river, just a pity we weren't there longer.
Was not allocated the accommodation that we specifically chose on the website - thus not two chairs, but hard backless benches. Very awkward kitchen which was not particularly clean. Bed OK but no headboard, just the wall. No meet and greet by owner, who lives a few meters away. No apologising for noise and construction going on in room next door the following day. You can also hear everything your neighbours do - as there is a locked interleading door. Owner's dog barking for hours, if we dared go on the verandah to look at the beautiful night sky which one could appreciate during power out, otherwise their safety lights blind you (also barking in early hours of the morning). When I eventually phoned and complained I was told dogs bark during power-outs! Same thing next evening! Will not stay here again or recommend this establishment - much better places for the same price.

There is no better place to rest than here. The location is wonderful and it was peaceful. The place is neat and well maintained and you feel safe. Pretty much everything you need is available so it's just beautiful. Our dog enjoyed it just as much and decided to look after the site.
Dit is ons tweede keer by Elim, en steeds was dit 'n verassing. Laasjaar het ons nie geweet ons bly langs die Oranjerivier nie en die jaar kon jy hom van die stoep af sien. Wat 'n belewenis! Die kinders was weereens uit hulle velle oor die lugversorging in die warm Kalahari en die danssaal van 'n badkamer, om nie eens van die beddens te praat nie. Dit is definitief 'n gesinsinstelling om hier te oornag en komende van tieners, kan 'n mens dit maar ter harte neem!

The photos do not do the place justice. The farm, landscape, river, cottages we so much better than expected. We enjoyed a beautiful braai overlooking the Orange River. Everything worked, and we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. It is so much more beautiful than the photos.

With the river there it's a good idea to bring a fishing rod or two for kids, otherwise there isn't much for them to do.

Rika is a very pleasant and friendly hostess. dThe environment is invigorating. It's safe and quiet. The view of the lush green vineyards and the peaceful walking trails are just what a tired soul needs. The lovely recreational facilities along the mighty Orange River are very well appointed. It's our third time there and it's fantastic. Quiet and very beautiful.
We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful place with the most beautiful view of the river and vineyards. Our apartment was stylishly and practically furnished. Would definitely recommend it.
Very nice stay and children really enjoyed the bunk beds. We could have a nice barbecue on the grass while the children played on the grass. Aircon is room is a nice escape from the Kalahari heat.

In the heat of the summer, the air conditioner is a savior. The units are spacious and extremely tidy. Relatively remote, but within reach of both Kakamas and Keimoes.

Nobody welcomed us, and we were just told which unit to take by a lady who didn't introduce herself. No soap, lighter for gas appliances was empty and didn't work, bad lighting prevented reading in bed. Otherwise, reasonably fitted out.
Our unit was neat and clean. It is very well equipped and lacks nothing. Perfect for an overnight stay on a long journey north.
Everything we could need was in the room. Nice big bathroom. Waking up among the vineyards was a wonderful experience. The only negative was the water in the shower was freezing cold on the morning of our departure. Will definitely stay there again.

The attention to detail in Elim Guest House is exceptional. The accommodation was particularly clean and tidy, and attention was given to everything one would need for overnight accommodation. The farm is beautiful and the short walk to the river at sunset was very special. The owner of the farm welcomed us very generously. I would recommend Elim to anyone looking to spend the night in that area.
The accommodation was clean and tidy and has everything one needs. It's animal friendly and my two dogs were very much at home. It creates a farm feeling and we had a great rest. I forgot my jewelry there and the cleaner gave it to the owner. Special people.

Absolutely beautiful. A hidden gem in the middle of the desert. Will be back again next year for longer! Very clean, comfy and a beautiful walk through the vineyards to the banks of the Orange River.

Elim Guest House is like an oasis in the desert. We enjoyed our one night stay so much and plan to go back again to enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty for longer. The lapa by the river was a great surprise and a wonderful place to visit to watch the sun set over the Orange River.

The accommodation is very tidy with practically everything needed for a self-catering unit - even grape vine braai wood was provided! There is a beautiful view from the accommodation, over a grape vineyard, in the direction of the Orange River bank which is only a 100 m walk away. We would highly recommend the stay.
An oasis among the vineyards. Pleasant surprise when I saw how it actually looks there. I really enjoyed sitting by the river. It is very unfortunate that I could not meet Rika myself. I would like to know a little more about the place and history. It's extremely neat and clean. Will return again anytime.

Cute and neat accommodation, but remote. Disappointed with client service. The water supply comes in pulses the whole time - the pump doesn't work optimally - very frustrating when you need to shower.
