We had a comfortable stay, the house is large and has all the basics you need.
The guesthouse, the vibe and the people, both local and visitors, were amazing. I would only suggest the one bathroom would benefit from a sliding door as manoeuvring around the door was a bit awkward - but we had an amazing stay.

Elke's is a quiet and large house in a beautiful location. There is plenty of space.
We like to spend the night at Elke's because we travel with our two dogs. They enjoy the big garden and it is well fenced so we can relax too. The town is beautiful and peaceful.
Ideal for sleeping over with pets as the property is fenced. Could have a good barbecue that evening.
Always the best place to stay.
2nd time my wife and I sleep there. The time with family. Everyone really enjoyed it. Very central and teenagers could walk the streets without fear.
Neatly furnished accommodation.
Each guesthouse is well-equipped - everything needed is there. Wonderful walks on the veranda in the Karoo late afternoon. Within walking distance of most places to visit.
The house is well equipped. In winter may recommend to buy wood for fire in house. Bathroom with sort very small. More information about where to eat and what is open will help.

Our dogs traveled with us. Elke's guest house has a lovely large garden in which they could frolic. Nice porch to hang out on. It's a real escape from the city. Everything one needs.
Old, but neat. Security is a problem as there was a knock on the door late at night and we had to call the police.
Dilapidated house. The house was full of cobwebs. Could see it hadn't been wiped or cleaned in a long time. Price too high for the type of accommodation. Would not recommend.
We were warmly welcomed at Elke's guest house. The house is spacious, clean and tidy with all the amenities we needed. Dinner on the stoep at the Karoo Lamb was delicious. It's a great overnight stop if you're coming from the interior and heading to the George/Knysna area.
Although the outside temperatures were high, the house was cool inside with loads of space in the rooms and living areas. Kitchen is fully equipped and very large! We really enjoyed the house and would definitely like to live there again.
Nieu-Bethesda is a lovely destination and the accommodation was comfortable and clean with a beautiful veranda.
Beautiful village and house is centrally located. Cool house in a hot town!
The places are a bit neglected. Many of the lights do not work, the garden is overgrown and the rooms were not very tidy. The kitchen's items are not complete. The bedding is old.
We went home in Aandster. It's definitely value for money. We were sorry we could only stay there one night, and would definitely recommend it.
