Emilie’s Garden Cottage, is part of an original Hermanus cottage built in the early 1940s. This private, secure, self-catering cottage is situated in the tranquil heart of Eastcliff, one of the oldest areas in Hermanus, where the streets are lined with glorious flowering gum trees, planted by the late Tiny Cloete, wife of the famous South African author, Stuart Cloete.

This delightful family owned cottage, has been tastefully renovated and accommodates 4 adults and an infant. There are 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed and a cot for a baby and an en-suite bathroom with a bath. The second bedroom has a double brass bed, and leads to an en-suite shower.

The generous open-plan living area is sunny and spacious and is furnished with a dining table and 4 chairs, 2 lovely comfortable sofas, a flat-screen TV with Netflix and free fibre Wi-Fi. The well-appointed, compact kitchen includes a Smeg gas stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, double-door fridge and washing machine.

French doors lead onto a deep covered verandah, furnished with stylish, outdoor furniture, and there is a Weber braai and Trade-Wind umbrella for hot summer days. The verandah faces onto the pretty, spacious, indigenous garden where children can play

The cottage is within walking distance of the seafront, the glorious Marine Tidal Pool, Old Harbour, famous Cliff Paths, shops, restaurants and the popular Hermanus Saturday Morning Market. A well-kept children’s playpark is just a short stroll away.

The cottage is eco-friendly and complete with solar geyser, gas stove and well point for garden water and there is good security and on-site parking. Extra house cleaning services are offered on request at an additional fee.
