During whale season, guests will be able to view the whales in the bay, and in flower season the coast comes alive with blooming wildflowers. A variety of birds can be seen in the West Coast National Park, and various activities can be enjoyed ranging from swimming, fishing, 4x4 trails, as well as markets and the Dassen Island Lighthouse.

Absolute bliss! The breathtaking view on arrival, the sunsets, the finer touches that made the apartment such a pleasure to return after a day of sightseeing. Spent most of the day just soaking in the view - will definitely return.

Lorna is a wonderful hostess. The unit is beautiful, modern and has everything you need. The location is fantastic and the view breathtaking. The indoor grill is a big plus.
Lorna is a very friendly and pleasant hostess. The unit has everything needed. Even the braai wood and grill were provided. The veranda/braai room is a very cozy room with a breathtaking sea view. The beds were very comfortable and the shower towels are Egyptian cotton (wow). We will definitely book again and look forward to our next weekend there.
The solarium (glass-enclosed porch) is a lovely attachment to the apartment. It has a big round table with chairs, an indoor braai and a comfortable couch. The view of the ocean and the incredible sunsets is breathtaking. Dassen island can also be seen from the lawn outside the solarium. The house is off the grid so we did not experience any load shedding! What a treat!! We even had Netflix as part of the package. Another surprise!

Lorna is very hospitable and everything was exactly as it shows in the photos only even more beautiful. Please do yourself a favor and visit here. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers (17 and 15). There is a stunning braai area with enough wood and you feel like you are sitting right next to the sea. The unit is self-catering. You don't need to take anything with you - the Spar on Yzerfontein is fully equipped and modern, it was really a big surprise. We will visit again.
The guest house is extremely neat, very comfortable and fully furnished with a durable finish. It is also excellently located and offers a breathtaking view of the rocks and waves. The attention to detail regarding the comfort of visitors is commendable and there really is nothing a guest could need that is lacking. You can literally just arrive there with your clothes in your suitcase. Everything that one could possibly need on holiday in a place to stay and even that one would not necessarily need, is there. Outside, in front of the living room is a lovely veranda, a built-in braai/fire place and a small lawn. It's a lovely place to visit with a breathtaking view of Dasseneiland and the Atlantic Ocean. During our short stay there we were also able to enjoy whales right near the coast. The hostess, Lorna's kindness, hospitality and helpfulness are also highly appreciated. Emmaus-on-Sea is truly a five-star gem and we highly recommend the guest house.

We were pleasantly surprised with the exquisite decor and the warm welcome. The rooms were very tidy with good quality bedding and towels. There was even a container of crackers set out. The view is also something special and I can recommend them with great peace of mind.
