We received great service from the owner, a very friendly lady who accommodated us with extra time on my birthday. Thank you so much, it made my day extra special, so much so that we didn't want to go home, time definitely went by too quickly. Will definitely want to go back again in the future and experience all that EngelZicht has to offer all over again!
Were together friends in the house. The place was nice and clean and is ideal for a group of people who want to get away. Everything we needed was there. When it got cool outside, we could have a good time inside at the braai. We could enjoy being on our own downstairs as a family, and the friends who did not have children slept upstairs so that the children would not be bothered if they were fussy. Will definitely visit there again.
The house is perfectly located. Our friends had a great time relaxing and enjoying the pool a lot. It's safe and tidy. I definitely want to go again.

The place was really good. The place was clean and everything was as described in the games room. There are load-shedding lights as well as board games to play. The pool was lovely and not too deep, so it's very comfortable. The beds were great, and you will be extremely well-rested!
The house has a lovely view of the ocean, with an open plan and spacious common area. Plenty of entertainment with the highlight of an outdoor pool. Would definitely recommend!

It was everything I had asked for. The view was beautiful. Besides being by the sea we also had a pool, so we could swim whenever without having to leave the house.

We had a great stay, and the house is very tidy, well located and with a wonderful porch and view.
Great service from Dorita. The DStv was disconnected Sunday morning but our stay was until Monday. Contacted Dorita and she assisted us immediately. However early Monday morning the guys came to clean the pool and just felt that there was privacy and what if we wanted to make use of the pool, there was no communication regarding to it. For safety consider having a higher fence as anyone can come on the property.
The table tennis board was completely unusable/broken, even with chairs and pillows trying to prop it up. Dart board had permanent marker stains, all the darts were falling apart and the actual boards bullseye was so used up, upon hitting a bullseye dart just fell out. The pool table we had to prop up with magazines and even with this the table had no stability. Swing ball was rusted and broken beyond repair. Dishwasher ran a cycle without dissolving washing tablets provided, shelving under sink was grossly stained/rotten, kitchen blinds full of stains, couch cushions also stained. Microwave could not cook 5 minute Woolworths steam vegetables after running it 3x the prescribed time. Shelving in fridge broken! On arrival the kitchen and lounge floor had raw broken spaghetti pieces lying on the floor, poorly cleaned. Toilet roll holder and hand towel holders in bathrooms also kept falling off. Very disappointed.
What a beautiful house, with lots to do. Kept the kids (young and old) and grown up entertained for the weekend. We will definitely be back.
However, there are a few things that need attention. I assume the owners will figure it out themselves and fix it after their next visit. Covid kept them from visiting Yzerfontein.

We had a wonderful weekend at Engelzicht. The house sleeps 6 and is well-equipped and has a pool table, table tennis, swimming pool and an inside and outside braai. The house was clean and we had a great time.

I would recommend EngelZicht, but I do think the owners or the management team should check the things in the kitchen from time to time, provide a frying pan in good condition, and a braai grid that is in working condition. It's surely not too much to ask. The large one at the home was broken, these things should be checked out by the management team. Other than that we were only there two nights, the weather was not fabulous so were unable to make use of the lovely pool. The one garage door also did not lock - security risk. My husband parked his car as close as he could to the door in the driveway so that the door could not be opened.
Engelzicht is a beautiful home. We appreciated the bottle of wine and ice cream, thank you very much!

Very neat house with the most stunning view of the Sea. We felt R3200 per night was way to steep for 4 people (2 kids included).
The place was value for money. The house gives you the atmosphere of the sea. It is neat with all its additional benefits, such as pots, plates and the small extras.
