70 guests' feedbackMy son is physically disabled and we were both welcomed with open arms. We appreciate the slight adjustments that needed to be made to make our stay happy and comfortable. Thank you everyone for being so kind. We loved Enjo Nature Farm with its peace, quietness, stars, wonderful mountains and nature, the beautiful flowers, the noisy frogs at the river at night, the busy weaver birds building their nests, our lovely walks crossing rivers, even had to jump over a snake and flap away quite a few flies, but we loved our 3-day stay in a place which felt like home and thank you once again for the home-baked bread.
We had a warm welcome on arrival. This place is absolutely food for the soul. Lovely to be so close to the river with single deep water flowing. There were still a lot of flowers to see and just went for a walk along the road to see nature. And a bonus is they are animal friendly. Thank you very much for a wonderful 4 days! We will definitely go again.
Amazing host. Beautiful scenery. Loved our stay. Too short of a visit. Will be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. The weather was perfect, so we could even brave the river. Our dogs also had a fantastic time. Rest assured, we will definitely return in the future. The weekend was just too short.
Absolutely amazing. So beautiful and lots of fun.
Absolutely fantastic location and the tranquility overwhelms you within moments of your arrival. Friendly management contributes to a very pleasant visit.
Our second time here. Quiet and beautiful. Great customer service.
The best place to stay!
Truly a nature farm, lovely cottages, a wonderful nature dam that is dog-friendly with shade and loungers, and another swimming dam close to reception. Some friends went for a long early morning hike.
My new favorite getaway spot. Absolutely beautiful location - the farm is spacious and private, and everything you need is catered for. Enjo Chalet is a rustic hideaway with close proximity to the river, pool, and walking distance from the swimming dam. We saw horses, wild rabbits, stunning birds and much more. This is a place worth visiting for a complete break from the bustle of city life. We'll be back soon!
It felt like we were at the end of the world. Exactly what we needed, very remote and private. It is definitely the best medicine to just be with nature. The houses are beautiful.
Reception was good with a small shop that kept necessary for guests.
We stayed in Lonely Planet. It is quite far from the other units. There is a nice big tree that gives a lot of shade. At times it really felt like it was just the two of us alone here in the mountains. The stars are breathtaking and you can hear the silence. We enjoyed it very much.
It was nice to sit around a campfire and look at the stars in absolute silence.
We had a good time camping. Nice campsite with lots of trees. Unfortunately, the WiFi does not pick up there. Other than that, no complaints.
The staff/owners were lovely but the accommodation is dated and grubby. The "jacuzzi" at the lonely planet cottage is really small and fills from a Joni tank which on a hot day results in a hot pool and also depletes the water for the cottage. The cottage itself was very basic which is fine but it was also kind of grubby, with worn out furnishings and in need of a coat of paint. After the water incident we were moved to another cottage which also required a coat of paint and revamp. The location is beautiful and the owners are very helpful. I would definitely go back if the cottages were upgraded a bit, they don't need to be fancy and luxurious just clean and bright.
All that the pictures suggest and more! Safe. Beautiful. My dogs and I didn't want to go home!
Enjo stole our hearts. For the first time in years we feel rested and ready to take on the "busy" world again. 10 out of 10 for location (Biedouw valley), 10 out of 10 for beautiful accommodation and 10 out of 10 for Guy and his family (owners of Enjo) for making us feel so welcome. 7 nights was too short! See you again September!
It was the perfect break from the noise of the city! Beautiful scenery, bright stars and relaxing by the barbecue fire. Will visit Enjo Nature Farm again soon!
If you want to switch off and get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. Wonderful nature, and many hiking trails. In flower time believe incredibly beautiful.
We stayed in the Lonely Planet Cottage. The place is picturesque and exactly what one needs to just get quiet and become human again. Our city dog enjoyed the freedom very much. Will definitely visit again.
See stars.
The road is long and the gravel can be off putting, but I've realised that the most amazing quietness, and the most amazing start can only be found after traveling a long piece of gravel. Bush setup, beautiful walks, the dam looks very attractive too. We ordered a braai pack, the lady of the house baked us a corn bread that we've never had before, it's out of this world. Imagine being cared for when you miss your mommy, that's how we felt. Lol, I can never imagine an honesty shop anywhere in my home city.
We enjoyed the quiet evenings and all the stars you don't see in town.
We went to look at the flowers and what a wonderful surprise it was!
Enjo is beautiful. They are renovating the accommodation. Our chalet was not ready and we were put in a very small place. It was totally worth it though. The valley was beautiful.
We took back roads, via Wuppertal, which make for exciting travelling, only recommended in a 4x4. We took our dog, which had to stay behind ne day when we went on a 3-4 hour hike. The owners heard the dog howling and were kind enough to attend to it. They offered to look after it, for any future such hikes, where dogs are not allowed. That was very nice of them. We strongly recommend anti-mosquito cream; this is not emphasized enough in the brochure.
Loved this little spot! Close to the Sevilla Rock Art walk and truly off the beaten track. We managed to get there with a Mini Countryman, but check roads to Wupperthal and Algeria before proceeding with a car. The actual farm is lovely and great for walks and exploring. It is safe and clean and lying under the stars at night next to the fireplace was bliss! We will be back!
We had a lovely stay at the camp, everyone was super friendly and helpful. The place is perfect to get away from the busy city life!
We really enjoyed it, to switch off a bit, especially without cell phone signal. Oak Cottage was clean, the bed comfortable and there was everything we needed. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we went in a very hot time, and it was difficult, especially with our dog who was also with us. We will definitely go again as soon as it is a bit cooler in the middle of the year.
Nobody mentioned the atrocious 25 km corrugated gravel road! Also that peak summer temperatures are mostly above 40 degrees! The air of neglect was palpable! The Cabin in which we stayed had cockroaches! No ventilation and one ceiling fan. We left at 06:30 in the morning after one day at the place. Did I say left? Actually we fled!
This place is amazing.
Enjo is a gem, it is located in one of SA's most beautiful valleys. Fantastic value for money, well appointed and exceptional hosts.
Enjo provides absolute rest for your soul.
It was indeed peaceful on the beautiful farm. The silence, the stars, the beautiful landscape. You can turn it off properly. The kids enjoyed it so much and could only get lost in the open. No phone so best place to turn off.
To get away from the daily hustle and bustle, Enjo Farms is the ideal place to find peace and quiet.
The accommodation and accommodation is great, just to relax and rest there is exactly what we needed, I recommend it, here one gets away from the city's hustle and bustle, no phones that bother all day. I'll definitely go back there.
A+, would definitely stay there again.
It is always a privilege for me to spend time there. Whether it's in one of the houses or a campsite, it doesn't matter. The people/owners/animals are one of a kind. Any red wine tastes better and stars and silence a pleasure.
The perfect place to get away from it all. It's quiet. It's very beautiful. The people are hospitable and friendly. There is no mobile phone reception, but there is WiFi at the farmhouse if you really want it. The accommodation is basic, but clean and tidy. I will definitely visit again.
We had to turn around in front of a full river, so we arrived at Enjo later than we had planned. In the beautiful nature, escape for every weary soul! I think only attention can be paid to the upstairs beds, felt unsafe. However, the indoor hearth makes the place smell very like smoke.
The Cederberg alone is worth it. About 18 kilos on a gravel road, quite suitable for a bakkie. Will not go next July, though, as it's a little cold. The owners recently took over the farm and are very hospitable!
Lovely location and a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Being pet friendly is important to us and our little Boston terrier who loved it there. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Also a great location from which to explore the greater Cederberg region.
Enjo was an absolute delight to visit, dirt road to get there is just very narrow, steep and in bad condition. Once you are on the farm, the welcome is very friendly and everything you need is available. Perfect break from the everyday hustle and bustle.
Our house "Lonely Planet" at Enjo Nature farm is beautifully situated. Away from everyone and very peaceful. Stars incredibly beautiful. Cute water pool near house. Unfortunately, the house was not clean. Owner mentioned it to us that they had problems, but our Dutch guests were a bit disappointed. Everything is a little neglected. The environment, stars, route were incredibly beautiful.
Great place for a getaway. The room has a ceiling fan and it's very warm in the summer. Will definitely visit again. Very friendly owners.
The farm is situated in beautiful surroundings. The cottages are charming on the outside but needs attention to curtains, bedding and overall look inside.
A memorable, albeit short stay in this slice of dryland heaven. We were visited by friendly pets and countless shooting stars and left rested and content.
The flies and mopeds and water not draining completely was bad. In flower time, nature should compensate for everything that is troublesome. The road from the R355 over Uitspankraal and the drive over the Doringring River should only be recommended for 4x4 enthusiasts.
Had a lovely stay with two children and a dog.
I rode my bike through the Cedar Mountains, and stayed at a few guest houses. Enjo Farm was one of the coziest places. They have a very good chef and the kitchen dishes were very well prepared, and were good value for money.
We really enjoyed our stay. The people are friendly and the farm is beautiful. Couldn't ask for a better place.
For a Transvaler it is like being in a different country.
The fireplace was a winner for the cold evenings. Cottage comfortable and everything you need for a good few days rest. It's the place to clear your head and get away from all the stress in the city. No cell phone reception and television. Enjoy the beautiful nature around you and the 2 horses that come to visit you early in the morning. Thanks also to the hostess and farm manager who welcomed us. Thank you again for your kindness.
Peace, quiet, wow!
Enjo is unspoilt and beautiful. Food for the soul.
Enjo is on a very beautiful farm with a river flowing through it. The house was small but tidy and everything needed with a nice braai lapa.
Far to drive from the Cape but a tranquil experience.
The annex portion allocated to us was definitely not as described and displayed in advertisement. The grass and bushes around our place of residence were very long and untidy, which did not create a good impression at all.
It shows WiFi on the page where you post your reservation, but the WiFi is only available at the main reception area which is quite a distance from your home. Cleanliness was also an issue. Curtains, bedding, towels I will not use as some of the things have dirty spots on them and are not as desired. I would have preferred to take my own bedding with me.
The welcomed us with open arms, we were a bit early but the owners assisted us immediately and showed us around the farm until the cottage had been prepared for us. We will definitely return for the peace and quiet. Just one tip: if you approach the place from the R355/Tankwa National Park, just make sure you have a high clearance vehicle and that it is sealed for the water at Doring River.
If you are looking for a breakaway weekend with your life partner, family or friends, this is the perfect place for you! The beautiful natural scenery and peaceful atmosphere is so good for the soul.
The buildings, the decor, the hospitality calmly echo the expansive, raw beauty and peace.
Very relaxing we really enjoyed it and will visit again!
It was very pleasant and will make another visit, but next time we will be driving a very, very long stretch of stone dirt road. We had a great time relaxing!
Beautiful surroundings. Cottage with all the necessary equipment. Lovely sitting next to the river and barbecuing and looking at the stars with the frog singing in the background. Owner very hospitable and helpful. If you are looking for tranquility and want to recharge your batteries, this is the perfect place.
According to the advertisement you mention that the farm is located near Clanwilliam. For me coming from Mpumalanga, I did not realize that the close is 65 km from Clanwilliam. Perhaps it would be desirable to indicate the exact km.
The dirt road to the farm has a terrible pace to get through but after that it is beautiful. It was a wonderful experience. My 8&9 year old children and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We could easily do the hiking trail with them, we rowed on the dam and swam in the farm pond. In the evenings we had a delicious barbecue and watched the stars. The owners are incredibly hospitable and the cottage is equipped with everything you need.
The ablution facilities were very basic, yet sufficient for camping. The owners are friendly and helpful.
