Erika has 3 double bedrooms, an extraordinary large lounge with an open plan kitchen and dining room area, with good sea views, only 500m from the swimming beach and 200m from the shopping area and restaurants. You are walking distance from everything Struisbaai has to offer.
Erika is situated in a very large fynbos garden with lawn, giving it a very peaceful atmosphere. There is also a double bed sleeping couch and single bed divan in the lounge, making it suitable for up to 10 people.
Erika has 2 bathrooms, one with bath, shower, a washing basin and toilet, and one with toilet, washing basin and shower (en-suite).
The open plan kitchen has a fridge/freezer combination, 4 plate stove and oven, microwave, and enough kitchen utensils.
The comfortable and extra large lounge area makes for spacious comfortable relaxation, or dining with a lot of friends! There is a flat screen TV with dish, and OVHD decoder. You can bring along your own decoder for DStv.

This is still the best holiday home we have found. It is private and safe, neat and spacious. It's so nice.

Very stylish. The tranquility of the surroundings and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Had a great stay. Will definitely come back again.
Good location and everything you need. Spacious house with delicious barbecue inside. Needs a lot of attention unfortunately, lights and taps not working. Shower geyser is too small and hot water too little. Furniture and cutlery are old and worn. Short of a makeover then it will be delicious!

Close to everything, walking distance for the teenagers. Not too modern that you think about cleaning all the time but neat and clean. The owner was excellent. Good WiFi, wins Eskom if the power goes out with backup lights / gas and nice Android TV if the weather doesn't cooperate. Would easily go again.

We had a lovely stay at Erike, weather was good. House has what you need and is comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the indoor braai as it was windy on the first night. Very spacious.
All amenities required was available. The house is rustic. Hot water was a bit inconsistent I had to fiddle with the gas heater. Internet although slow was available which was a plus.
The house is very well located, but the house needs attention. It is advertised as sleeping nine which is true, but there are not nine of each for example of crockery. Some of our guests wanted to drink beer and there were no beer mugs. Some of the plates have chip marks on them. The house also needs a lot of maintenance such as e.g. of the wooden window frames that cannot close. The large room is very nice and spacious, but there is not much storage space for personal items. During bad weather conditions, there is no other alternative to barbeque either. Braai facilities are outside only. The rooms are nice and spacious with enough cupboards. Despite the few flaws, we still had a very nice stay.

Most relaxing and close to shopping facilities and a much needed pharmacy with fantastic service. Lovely play park close by with fun putt-putt.
It was a decent location but there are couples living below you which apparently requires a group of 7-9 people to be quiet. Which is only possible to a certain extent and it's a holiday house after all. Everything is much older than expected. Wouldn't use the oven, not all types of cutlery were available and if it was it was dated. Upgrades need to be made. The house looks like a time capsule from way back, so if that's your thing it would be suitable. Also only one shower in main bedroom so everyone will use that bathroom. For a house that can sleep so many people and a drought meaning we can't use the bath it's inconvenient. It isn't very expensive so definitely more of a budget living experience. Another thing is the house is not maintained at all. No proper broom, balcony light out, things are fragile. Pictures are also deceiving. We made the most of it but doubt will return.

Lovely, spacious house with a lovely garden! The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is nicely equipped.
The rooms and neat and living room are wonderfully spacious and cozy. Negative points are the TV/DStv "setup" is not as advertised and you can't just connect your decoder. The eating and cooking utensils in the cupboards had not been checked before we checked in, and were full of cobwebs. Had to wash eating and cooking utensils first. Had to call for back door key ─ it was not available on arrival. Radio didn't work either. If attention is paid to this, it will be a wonderful experience to stay there. The positive, however, is overall the comfort and cleanliness of the venue. Anna-Marie is very helpful and was willing to make small changes to the rooms to accommodate our wishes. All other amenities of high standard.
Will definitely go to Struisbaai again. Although the owner is friendly and it's a nice big house, the place definitely needs attention. The place is old and not very clean everywhere. But it's good value for the price!
Outside braai area of main house needs attention. Personally, I think bedding, linen and towels should be brought by the guests. Some of the kitchen utensils need replacement. Other than that, our stay was a restful and peaceful one.
The bedding and towels are beautifully clean, but the rest of the house could be a bit cleaner.
We just didn't know that you have to pay your fees in full before you can get the key.
