32 guests' feedbackThank you Marike and Jacques for having us. We had a wonderful time!
The Manor house was great for a nice braai and hanging out together the night before the wedding.
Quiet stay on a wine farm. Thanks Jacques and Marieke for the good communication. We enjoyed our stay. Not far from town and the wine route.
Stayed there in time after heavy storm. Eskom in the whole area was off. The hostess went far out of her way to help.
Nice and quiet, enough security.
Any queries we had were answered kindly and quickly. Very hospitable and we will visit there again.
We loved the area. The hosts were pleasant. There were issues with the WiFI and the DSTV, but the hosts were aware of this and apologised and said they would sort it out.
See stars.
Neat clean and friendly service.
We had a great time. The atmosphere is so nice and here you find rest. The veranda! Love the veranda. Marike is a wonderful host. Thank you so much for a wonderful visit.
Beautiful, safe area in a stunning house, neat and clean.
Marike and Jacques went out of their way as hosts to help me during my stay here. Upon arrival my car broke and my wife who was submitted to Worcester Provincial Hospital, lost her bed and needed somewhere to stay until the next morning. Marike accommodated her at no extra cost and provided us with extra goodies we needed to get from town, but couldn't without a vehicle. Jacques then took us to hospital at 6:00 the next morning. We offered some money for his petrol and time, but not Marike nor Jacques wanted it. Genuine, good, kind and giving couple who really saved the day after a horrible week we've had, and then the car and hospital situation to top it off. Not to mention a lovely little flat, fully equipped, peaceful and clean. And Pepper the gorgeous ridge back that kept me company in the evenings! Thank you, Marike and Jacques, for opening your hearts to us! Happy 2020!
We come from Lamberts Bay and for us who also work in the hospitality industry, everything was top notch!
Despite prior emails from the accommodation, our unit had been changed and the arrangements were mixed up. They did accommodate us by arranging a cottage for us in advance. After check in, our experience was just good, to wake up every morning with such a view is a privilege. I do suggest that they check all the interior door latches.
Good location, and very well equipped with everything one would need.
We stayed over with friends at Farmstay Manor. The arrangements were done perfectly. Accommodation, bedding, the bathroom and everything else was clinically neat and clean. We would've like to have stayed longer, but we had other commitments. Would definitely recommend it.
My stay was very peaceful. A lovely little apartment with everything you would need. Lovely bed with lovely linen. All that was not good for me was the image of the TV. It's very weak. I will and will definitely stay here again if their place is available.
House very neat with everything one needs. The friendliest dog, Pepper, pops by every now and then to check up on us. If you're looking for a quiet break away from people this is the place. Was great!
We enjoyed our time there.
Esperance is convenient for those wanting to visit the Nuy Valley area (which was why I was there), it is also quietly tucked aweay from the R60 so it would be nice for a quiet weekend away.
Cute and neat. However, upon arrival we struggled as there was no one to receive us.
The disappointment was quite big when we saw at the entrance that the workers' houses were sitting on either side of the entrance, it does not create a very good impression. When we stopped at the farm there was no sign of life and we had to knock on the door a few times before the housekeeper made up for us and took us to the unit. The unit reeked of fire, the furniture didn't quite fit together and the shower had no door or curtain. Not three star quality at all and therefore definitely not worth all that money. Expected much better. The hostess shone in her absence and made no effort to welcome us. I now understand why one has to pay the entire amount of money ahead of time, because it's too much money to just waste and then look for another place to stay. I suggest future guests look elsewhere instead.
Upon arrival the first impression was that the house is right next to the farm workers' homes. The unit reeked of fire. No water, only drinking water. But none for shower. Only the one door could lock from the outside. Swimming pool was green. When you decide to spend the night elsewhere they refuse to refund and deny all shortcomings.
We enjoyed the farm incredibly much. The people are very friendly and hospitable.
We stayed in the big house and it was very nice, everything you need and more. The host and hostess are very pleasant people. Thank you very much for a wonderful weekend. Will definitely go back again.
It's very easy to find the guest farm. You feel part of nature. Would have liked to have enjoyed a light dinner without having to drive.
The hostess and staff were very helpful and friendly. Guesthouse very neat and clean and close to town. View beautiful and so peaceful. Will visit them again!
We were contacted regularly before the stay to finalize arrangements and to welcome us. Upon arrival we were warmly received and felt very much at home in a very cute and well-equipped place.
Thank you for the kind reception. Accommodation neat and very spacious. Beautiful view of vineyard and mountains. Great to be able to enjoy this beauty with early morning coffee and delicious home-baked biscuits.
Unfortunately as a sign of hospitality there was a slight problem. The farmer (owner) came at 21:30 to tell us to turn down our TV as there were people who wanted to sleep. The hospitality of the hostess, the two times I saw her, was reasonable. I would have escorted my guest to his place and explained the rules and not necessarily just said that "Bella" (?) will take care of me. The first 3 days in Worcester the climate varied between 39 and 45 degrees. There was a swimming pool 15 meters from where I live, but since I wasn't invited to use it, I just took a shower. The first night I watched a film on channel 106 which had a very poor dubbing and I had to turn up the volume on the tiny TV and even then had difficulty following the business. After this incident I just went to bed early every night. On Saturday afternoon my daughter joined me from Cape Town to help me break down my stall at the show. The residence at @ Manor had two bedrooms and we then decided, with the permission of the owner, to let her use the empty room. Upon our arrival I went directly to Mrs. Naude went and asked her permission. After a payment of R300 she agreed.
Friendly and caring hosts - will stay again if need arises for accommodation in Worcester.
Accommodation was suitable. For a large house like that an additional bathroom would be more suitable. The blinds are see-through in the evening and there are no curtains so your privacy is limited. The amenities are 90% mixed with water as well as the sunlight liquid. Pool was was murky. There was no one was there to receive guests, which takes the personal touch away. Confusion with booking was dissapointing when we were contacted for additional funds. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
